I’ve been doing yard work, have the Falcons drafted a QB for when they need to move on from Penix yet?

 

If Travis Glover is someone the Steelers have tremendous interest in still, I'd snatch him up in the 5th via a trade assuming the team is 100% comfortable with Fautanu and Jones starting as the LT and RT respectively or vise versa.

 

I don't hate it but don't love it either. At the same time, I don't see any other team going after safeties and corners right now so maybe McCormick was BPA.

 

I like the player, but I like some of the defensive backs who were available even more. This isn't just about positional need. They had options who were as good or better at positions that were more immediate needs and passed. Other than Porter last year, they just refuse to put enough value on cornerbacks.

 

At least this is not a punter.....I mean the bears just draft a punter in the fourth round

 

Im worried there’s gonna be a run on punters before our next pick. Khan needs to work those deals!

The Steelers have signed DBs post draft in 2022 and 2023, could it happen in 2024 with Cam Sutton returning.

 

Don't think they have much of a choice now. That was a head scratcher for me.

 

Don't forget Issac Seumalo will be 31 next season. That has to be accounted for. Being on the wrong side of said number isn't ideal.

Tory Taylor is actually one of the best Punters in NCAA History. Dude can easily change the field position in an instant on Special Teams. Not that bad of a pick given how Chicago's Punt Coverage Team was one of the Leagues worst.

 

Unless Kalen King is somehow, someway, in the sixth. Be my best guess.

Punting IS that important. Look at what we suffered thru last year. Never really thought he was a good pick Linebackers who punt just don't make it in the NFL

Punter usually is a position that is undrafted; some of the best ever to be that. That said, Tory Taylor was way above every other punter in the class by a country mile, it kinda justifies it.
