what happened to jason brown (ex rats and st luis ) ? he was a good center in baltimore than st luis overpayd him and dissapear , he can be a guard and center backup or even a starter left guard if he is back to his old form .
as a wr i would take a look at ramses baarden and dominique hixon from the giants
as a rb at justin forsett from houston
as a guard kory lichesteinger from washinghton or garret reynolds from atlanta
as ilb ellerbe from the rats and grant from the niners

    With a spatula! Duh?

That being said, to Matt Moore as a nice back up QB.

Living in the Chicago area, I get to watch all the Bears games. I was watching that game when it happened. Was the scariest injury I've ever seen. He was bent in half, backwards. As a result of that play, he fractured a couple of vertebrae in his back.

Leodis McKelvin is a guy I like. I think he stays in Buffalo though. As you mentioned, he's a great KR. As a corner he's been ripped apart here in Buffalo by fans and media. He stays with his man better than most guys in this league. He seems to have an issue when the ball is in there. But from what I've seen this past season he did somewhat better with that.

Interesting list, but the top free agents the Steelers are targeting are as follows:
    -Keenan Lewis
    -Ramon Foster

That's just their MO. Beyond that, we'll see.

Dude get over Rolando McClain the Steelers aren't signing that knucklehead who had two arrests. He's not even a good player hasn't done anything in the NFL.

Obviously! However this is just a fun post to discuss OTHER teams FA that could fit here...just something different to pass the time. There are plenty of other posts about Steelers FA...if you want to talk about them go there as thats not what this one is for.

Scariest injury I saw while watching a game was when Jets defender Dennis Byrd was paralyzed. Grossest injury I saw was Theismann's leg broken by LT.

But why does it always have to be this way? I see where the NE Patriots
just signed two guys from the CFL. Think out of the box Steelers FIND TALENT
WHEREVER IT MAY BE. You might find a gem out there. BETTIS TYPE TRADE is badly
    needed for this franchise.

His love of McCain is getting pretty weird (just funning with you Hack) almost as sick and twisted as PWP's man crush on Redman. I agree though, no way they sign him, they just cut Rainey after he was arrested.

I am so FN sick of the (badword) hats on this board. People are allowed to have opinions...people are allowed to talk...quit telling people what they can and can not say....if you don't like it...don't f;n read it.

As for McClain...its just like every other FA ever mentioned....Its either.."HE IS TO EXPENSIVE" or "HE SUCKS"

Good guys that are cheap...don't normally A) Exist or B) get to leave their current team.

I will say it again....although as many times as I have been told to stop saying it...I would assume you (badword) hats have already read it.

I think McClain can be redeemed....low risk...high reward....The Steelers need a young ILB...and it sure as (badword) is not Sly...and I honestly don't think its Spencer...we don't even know if Spencer can play in 2013.....Everyone...and I mean everyone thought McClain was going to be the man coming out of Alabama....Oakland drafted him and played him out of position...

Will be become an ALL PRO....I don't know....Will he be sitting in prison....I don't know..... I am saying he is a 3-4 ILB and has a chip on his shoulder to prove the Raiders wrong......Thats called motivation.

You sign him....and it frees up a draft spot for other spots.....its the same thing that I said about a certain LB that now plays in Cincinnati that I have been told by you fn board nazi's that I am not allowed to mention anymore....its risk vs reward...and if you don't understand it by now...you never will...so just go back and start dreaming about your next Madden trade! (this was not aimed at you Glenn....I've just had enough of this place for awhile.)

    HACK

Over at the old board and here I've always enjoyed reading your posts, you do you're homework and seem very knowledgeable on college and other teams players. I have to admit that if they are not Steelers I don't know or care about other players. I've been a Steelers fan long enough to get an idea of how they do things and they probably won't be interested in a player like McClain. Not saying it's right or wrong, just the Steeler way. People here would much rather talk about things that are more realistic like signing Reavis, crazy trades with the Jets and trading Ben.

Not that this means anything but...

Browns | Do not see Colt McCoy as a starter

Cowboys | Two could be cap casualties
    Wed, 06 Feb 2013 11:43:09 -0800

Dallas Cowboys OT Doug Free and LB Dan Connor could both be cut this offseason to save the team about $10 million in cap space, according to Nick Eaton of DallasCowboys.com. The Cowboys are $20 million over the salary cap without re-signing any of their free agents.

I'd welcome both, Doug as a BU and Connor could even start or be a solid BU.

The Steelers aren't going to sign a head case like McClain after what happened with Rainey and Ta'amu. McClain is lazy and a bust.

HACK, did you manually type (badword) or is that an automatically generated thing like on the old board?

I'd be looking at any potential LB's at this point, and possibly a starting RB depending on our funding. Maybe a quality TE for a year or two to give us insurance in case Paulson doesn't pan out.
