anyone think we take the kid from stanford or notre dame in first round? i dont think it i worth it but we did get heath in first. i dont what kind of blockers they are. i did hear one of the taking heads on foxsports compare ertz from stanford to heath when ask what nfl tight end he was similar to.

Seems too high since our pick as at 17. I wouldn't be shocked to see a TE somewhat early though. Best case scenario would be an H-Back type that could play TE until Heath is 100% but could play some FB too when Heath is back (or TE in mult sets).

yeah me to. it wouldnt bother me if we draft sec every pic. i know i sound like a homer but man their are some great players in this league. reed would be a good pic but once he gets to combine i think he will shoot up boards. he had so much inconsistancy ay qb his numbers dont reflect his talent

i'm not sure the kid from notre dame is actually a tight end. he may actually be a really big reciever without as much speed. he played split most of the time in the passing game and would come in tight during the run game.

I agree. If you're talking 5th round or later, that sounds perfect. Any 1st round tight end before Heath retires will be a wasted opportunity.

I like him, good player. Zack Sudfeld from Nevada good also. Mountain West has some talent.
Joesph Fuaria from UCLA is also going to be a good player and Nic Kasa from Colorado.

Ok, you see what regional games are available to my TV.

Jake Stoneburner from Ohio State would fit the bill perfectly for what you guys have described. Projected 5th-7th round-potentially undrafted, played wr, TE, and H-Back under Urban Meyer...and predominately TE in the Bucks previous dull offense. He was compared to Aaron Hernandez coming out of high school, but never really warranted the comparison due to OSU's emphasis on the run game and young QB's 1-2 read passing attack. 6'5, great hands, a lot of room for improvement with blocking. My steelers seem to have a soft spot for my bucks, too.

The only way we take te in the 1st is if someone with eric green's talent level was there, and that p layer just doesn't exist in this draft...speaking of which, i'm kind of partial to mich st.'s dion sims.... kid's huge and moves very well.. has good hands and has the size to help the tackles up front against elite rushers.... i thinl he may be available to us in the 4th

He got caught taking a leak outside...saw lights and ran. A week prior to that he was listed on Meyer's "Elite 8" list for performance, service, and academics. Stand-up dude...but again, I will admit bias.

Hmmm...would be nice to have a Saunders right about now wouldn't it? Still don't understand that move.

vance mcdonald from rice is a hot player right now. he's called a seam buster. 6-41/4 265. 10 in hands. 341/2 in. arms. 82 in. wingspan.

kasa is another guy i like too.

stoneburner could be a cross between the pass catching TE and the big wr we all want. a two for one guy.

i like micheal williams at alabama. he could be picked in a late round. can block very well and seems to make a big catch every game. he is a chain mover and good around the endzone

I like Sims as well.. He's the best blocking TE in the draft and would be going much higher if Michigan State knew that there was a TE available in the passing game. He was completely under-utilized IMO

Maybe the Steelers were right in releasing him. He had a whopping 2 receptions for 15 yards in 11 games for the Colts.
