No I cannot say I remember the details at all, I have seen so many games, like I said my memory is horrible. Heck I only remember one play when we lost to the Chargers and incomplete pass at the 3 yard line. And I do remember when Bledsoe got injured and Brady came in.

So what I’m getting out of this thread is MT is not a great coach because he can’t handle players grips in the locker room. But there a coach that will go to the football hall of fame with just a .500 record. HOF sure are lowering there standards.

Perhaps his fashion sense and press conference skills could be used elsewhere

He has had a job coaching in the NFL since 1975. He is a very good coach. He became great once he got Tom Brady. Same conversation we've all had about Andy Reid.

Neither Andy Reid or Belichek suddenly became great when they got a QB. There's plenty in both their coaching careers that indicate they were great coaches prior to Mahomes and Brady. As I've said before, lots of great coaches have had great QB's and not been able to do what Belichek and Reid have done, not even close.

It's easy to say Brady would have been great under any coach. It's also easy to say we wouldn't even know his name if he went to another team. Both are very possible.

Trading away your all pro QB, for a 1st round pick, so a 6th round draft pick can start for your team has to show some greatness in talent evaluation.

I saw that when it happened and I thought that was the stupidest thing I had ever seen in the NFL.

I used to say that Belichick never won a SB without Brady. People would respond that Brady never won one without Belichick either. Then TB silenced those people.

If you really look back at it. Many of those wins rode on the ack of some really key defensive stands that let Brady do his magic. How many times did we watch that team just happen to have the perfect defensive call for a key play against them? How many times did a NE player say they were there because they personally made that adjustment? Almost every time they said that they had the perfect defense called and/or they repped that play in practice. It's quite telling that when they loose those key downs, opposing teams always say they never repped the play or put it in at the last minute.

Now the combination of those 2 was a perfect storm.

Probably a more accurate way to put this is he was always a great coach the addition of a great qb pushed them over them over the top
