I'd be up for it if...

    A. We weren't already in cap trouble

    B. Know he'll holdout for a new contract after 1 season

Maybe they should start putting an "absolutely NO holdout PERIOD" clause in all contracts. I mean there are penalties but they are obviously not severe enough.

Don't want the homie (Hometown guy) from Quiptown. He'll sign today and start his hold out tomorrow. How's that no sign clause work out for Nomdi BTW?

Love Revis the player...hate Revis the business.....he holds out for a new contract...then signs and immediately starts talking about holding out again next year.....If he decides he has made his money...and wants to win....sure....but if he is still all wrapped up in thinking that being the highest paid player means you are the best player then no thank you.....I'd rather pay Nnamdi the same amount...just because I feel Nnamdi is a professional...and has definitely entered the "time is running out...I want to win" category.

(that being said...I would rather sign Lewis, draft Amerson....and if I am out looking for another CB that I have to "buy" it would be Sean Smith as an above average CB that wants his money...but not all the money)

I'm with you on Sean Smith, but I heard the Dolphins will probably put the franchise tag on him.

I really like what I've seen from Cortez Allen though. I think we'd be in very good shape with Ike, Lewis, and Allen... With Allen being ready to take over in a year when Ike is probably going.

I wouldn't be against Amerson in round 2 if he was there (and I think he might be). It would be nice if he could learn the CB and safety spots.

Trade Big Ben to the jets for Revis, Sanchez and Tebow. Get rid of Leftwich.

i'm ok with our young guys and ike. lake is doing fine with them. i would like to see king and vandyke brought along by him also. i think we have alot of talent back there. of course i want lewis signed back. add a couple of safeties out of this draft and we should be hard to handle in the near future. elam, rambo, cyprien, addae, jefferson, rambo, mcdougle, mcdonald, thomas. many to choose from. i'd take two. we could have the secondary set for the next 5 years.

Who ever gets him, it is going to take alot of money/draft choices!
With the Bills breaking the bank on Mario Williams, we can only imagine Revis's
    price tag? Off the charts.

Under his current contract, if he holds out for even 1 day...the final three years of the contract won’t void, putting him under contract for 2014, 2015, and 2016 at only $3 million per year.

He will show up in 2013 no matter what...but without a long term deal in place...how much value does a 1 year rental have? I would not give more than a 5th or 6th like we did for Holmes.

Look for Revis to land on the Falcons. They aren't afraid to make a big (sometimes ill advised) move, and have to believe they are one piece away from being a consistent force for the next 5 years. And as we've seen the last 2 years, that piece would definitely be on the defensive end. ESPN Insider also lists the Bucs and Colts...with Browns Bengals and Texans as outside threats to make a move.

The Steelers can't even afford their own UFA right now because they are 12 million over the salary cap. Not interested in Revis the Jets will want a buttload of draft picks for him.

Other than the Qb position, cb is the second most important position
in the NFL especially with todays rules. Qb, CB, LT, OLB/DE
this is where the money falls.
