You are ignoring that he tried to lie his way out of trouble and only pled guilty after his co-conspirators turned on him. He wasn't sorry. He was sorry he got caught.

No, I'm not blaming his upbringing. He did that. I don't buy that at all. He wasn't a child doing this. He was an adult. Blaming his upbringing was an attempt to deflect responsibility for his cruel and disgusting actions. You seem very focused on ignoring the worst parts of the story to try to make yourself feel better about the guy.

That said, you are still missing the point. Vick had a well-earned horrible reputation when the Steelers signed him, but they did it anyway, so it wouldn't shock me if they tried to bring Sutton back.

What does it mean that Sutton’s charges were dropped to a misdemeanor? Did the victim change the story or refuse to press charges or something?

I don’t know any of the details outside of “domestic violence”.
