That would be an interesting move. Decent size and speed.

McLaurin has been the lone bright spot on that dreadful "Redskins" team. 4 straight years over 1,000 yards with the likes of Tyler Heinicke and Sam Howell throwing to him.

They gladly took my money while I got to watch a whopping 3 total Steelers games that weren’t on otherwise. I use it mostly for Pens games and concerts. If it weren’t for those I would have went back to Direct TV by now.

Now that would be something to get excited about if they can make that move. He's a hell of a player.

I’m not local so I would have to pay extra for the NHL package. YouTube TV I can basically watch any sport, any team, any time.

McLaurin would be a good fit, IMO.

His $2M roster bonus just triggered with Washington. Combine that with the $5.6M in prorated bonus over the next three years and they'd be taking on over $18M in dead money this year - an additional $13M against their cap. They''re currently $56.7M under, so they can absorb it, but it makes me wonder what they'll be asking for in return.

As for the Steelers, McLaurin carries salaries of $15,1M and $15.2M in 2024/25. They could extend him and covert some of that to signing bonus to buffer his cap hit if needed. OTC has them about $15M under right now.

I absolutely hated YouTube TV at first and still am not a huge fan because of some inconvenient streaming delays but overall it’s becoming a bit more tolerable. What I like and my wife mostly hates is I can watch a ton of concerts which is nice on an 80 inch tv. Now if them damn Pens could start playing winning hockey again I’d be in heaven. Tonight they’re hot garbage again. :frustrated:

Actually yes. I was speaking to some of their local beat guys yesterday.
It's a move that would be crazy good for the Steelers. Washington is rebuilding and flushing everything Dan Snyder.
Terry McLaurin has been a bright spot among the dullest of dulls.
He is a pro all the way. I can't say enough good about him.
He would be a perfect influence on a guy like Pickens.

On the flip side, Washington knows he is that kind of guy.
He would be a leader among the new regime's additions, a keystone.
Washington might be interested, and some within the organization seem pliable, others not so much - they see him as a Jerry Rice/Art Monk type of player.

Edit: Forgot to add, as far as anyone knows there has been no calls.

I would love to get McLaurin. I watched a bunch of Sam Howell’s games from last season, and McLaurin seemed to be the only guy he could consistently rely on.

The Steelers are becoming the NY Jets of free agency.
    I love it.

I'd be shocked if Commanders let McLaurin go. He's been their best and most consistent player for several years now.

    Agreed!
I don't know how many picks the Commanders have already, it seems like a lot. More than enough to complete a total overhaul.
They worked the heck out of Free Agency and got a really nice blend of experience to set them up.
    At least on paper.

Trading McLaurin might be a bit much. But man, there's a guy you want on your team.
He came into camp, made no noise, just did his thing.. solid guy, very solid.

I guess a mock trade is no worse than a mock draft. There is no proof that the team is interested in this or that player all just something to kill time and fill dead air.

The headline about "Steelers Seriously Inquiring" is a little ridiculous. Can't you just call it a Mock-Trade?
