To me Dupree would be an upgrade over Golden.

I love the fact that the Steelers have 4 OLB's that can swap in and out, so they never get tired. And it will be a 1-year Vet minimum contract for Dupree.

no, he would not be, IMO.

    he is OLD (er).

Slower than the quick player we had - speed was about all he had.

    no, no , no

unless - this is about CHEAP CHEAP back up play.

We have Herbig, of course - I loved our 4-some last year, would like to keep in it tact if possible.

Maybe that's because the Vikings don't have a legit QB, 30 million a year would probably make him the highest paid WR in the league.

I would certainly take Bud on a cheap 1yr if he's healthy, which he rarely is. He'd make a nice 4th behind TJ, Alex and Big.

He did have 6.5 sacks last year playing about 2/3 of the snaps

    That is not washed

Golden is a free agent, not a Steeler. If they decide to bring him back, that works, too.

It's funny how stuff gets in print here lately.
I see the Steelers organization is arguing over Tyler Boyd.

It would seem the answer would be simple.
    Can he play?
    Is he good?
Is he worth what he wants?
    Can we afford him?

I think the last question is the big one. If Boyd doesn't want to negotiate, then we've got to pass I guess.

I find it funny that Ravens fans think that replacing Gus Edwards (4.1 yard per carry) with Derrick Henry (4.2 yards per carry) is the thing that's going to put them over the top into the Superbowl.

Yes. I meant he got snaps as No. 4. Herbig only about 11 snaps per game last season. They don't really need Dupree, but if he wants to sign on for a small role, I'm fine with it. If they sign him to take snaps away from Herbig, no, I'm not fine with that at all.

I would rather see them keep Golden, too, but I'm not sure he will re-sign cheaply.

And Herbig was a rookie last year his snap count will climb

A couple of years ago or so the 3 OLB had almost identical snap counts

I saw that report, too. It's not great that they can't get on the same page. They traded themselves into this position. I get moving on from Johnson, but with both quarterbacks in the final years of their deals, they might want to make sure they have a team that can compete around them. They don't have that with the current receiver group.

The Athletic has the Steelers 22nd in its new power rankings today, last in the AFC North and weaker than they were right after the Super Bowl. I'm not sure they are wrong, but hopefully, they at least have an impact move coming at receiver.

    I agree.
This is what I was alluding to the other day. Van Jefferson does not answer the bell here. We need a Free Agent Vet WR that is somewhat of a threat to defenses.
Drafting a good rookie is absolutely not a bad thing by any stretch.
I could probably see Renfrow but he hasn't been the same guy for maybe a year or two. I dunno.
Boyd is the guy I prefer, Justin would be a really huge splash. We need a guy like that as Wilson is known for those long bombs when a play breaks down, Justin would be one heck of a addition to catch those.

And I would inquire about Diggs. I am not sure what is transpiring there? Any thoughts?

Tyreek will make $31.3 million this year. A $30 mil average salary will actually put him around 10-12th this year, assuming it's 4 years escalating, so cap hit of around $20 mil this year.
