Sure did... Back in the days of Steeler BBSs where fans had tougher skin, people used to scan and upload Penthouse pictures regularly to porn BBSs...

it would literally take 10s of minutes to download a couple of pictures. Used to sit with my college buddies watching the pictures slowly get drawn single line by line.

Kenny should have just come clean and have had said thanks to the Steelers for drafting him in round 1 when he's truly a 3rd round talent.

After seeing Kenny’s introductory press conference with Philly, I can’t help believe the diva narrative that has played out in the media. Asked why he requested a trade and wanted a fresh start he replied “it was time after everything transpired.” He also said he believes he handled it all apart. I’ll give him that as no one is going to turn around and admit immediately they may have made a mistake. However, him having a knee jerk reaction and requesting a trade shows he wasn’t mature enough to handle adversity. I wish him the best but believe he may have shot himself in the foot. He will be 26 at the start of this season sitting on the bench behind Jalen Hurts. Barring injury he may not see the field again until he is 27 or 28. Even then if he becomes a free agent, not many teams will be looking to groom an unproven QB at that age to be a franchise QB. I hope I’m wrong for his sake, but he will only become a bridge QB for a team looking for their franchise QB.

So why were they taking offers for weeks?

I had high hopes this year for Pickett, saw some promise thru his play in the 4th Qtr.

Glad he’s gone. If he’s afraid of competition and feels like he’s owed anything then Good riddance Mr. Tiny Hands CryBaby!!

Good luck riding the Bench Behind Hurts!!

Something about having the #1 pick in the draft, Caleb Williams, maybe getting a second rounder for him. Rumors and such.

ESPN- "You didn't want to compete?"
Florio- "What has he done to make him feel entitled?"
    Nate Washington- "Transfer Portal Baby"

The press is not being kind to Kenny on Monday.

I didn't say it makes sense, but I think Tomlin wanted Fields badly and the price was too good to pass up.

Also, even if her report is not accurate, they don't do all those moves, including trading Pickett, if they have faith in him. I understand the lies and don't even have that much of a problem with them, but I'm not the guy they lied to.

What conspiracy theory? Tomlin lied publicly. So did Khan. Unless they told Pickett something different privately, those were lies to him, too. Those are the facts.

Exactly. I'm not the biggest fan of Kovacevic, but Dulac has no credibility left. None.

    Dulac lied. Big time.

I'm over the situation but my trust in our management is damaged. They took a 'behind closed doors conversation' and allowed it to leak which allowed the likes of Dulac to take editorial liberties beyond professional ethics which caused/enabled a wildfire of trash comments parroted by many.

There was no 'tempy tantrum' or unethical behavior that I've seen some adamantly insist there was. It was more just a level of disagreement where our management changed their minds/lied and Kenny was like 'well, what about a trade?' The guy has never been less than professional, be he in the wrong or right.

It's water under the bridge for me. I can't fix stupid and stupid will repeat stupid. It's not my job to fix that sort of stuff.
Let them eat cake is my take.

Going forward, it is business as usual though I have less respect for our management.

I live in a rural area and my first internet did this and I would click on the weather channel go down to the basement take a shower get dressed and then check to see if the page was done

Somewhere was a button I could click and the page would skip all pictures and you just got text

For those who thought Pickett didn't say enough about his former coaches and teammates with the Steelers, here is what he said about them during his introduction to the Philadelphia media.

"I gave everything I had there and loved all of my teammates and the coaches that I came across. Some absolute great memories that I’ll take forever and lifelong friendships,” Pickett said. “Talking to guys after it all went down, grateful that we had the time we had together. Wish everyone over there nothing but the best."

Umm, because that's how business is done you don't just jump at the first offer - it's well documented, there were plenty of teams interested but Fields would only come here.

You ever watch "Draft Day" with Kevin Costner, with the all world QB who they traded up in the draft to take at #1. And then the scout comes in says that none of his teammates attended his birthday party, and when they question him about it he hems and haws and can't name any player that was there?
That's what I think of when I read this.

    and FA for that matter.

there is more lying in the NFL the month of Feb than in any other of month of the year

other than the month of October before a Presidential Election!!!

4 teams made offers for sure.
    2 other teams expressed interests.
Fields rejected the 4 unknown teams.
The Bears, as mentioned, did right by Justin by trading him to his preferred destination and took less in the deal.

Thier front office is better than ours.

That's because you are buying into the bull**** narrative the Steelers helped create by leaks to the media the last few days.

That depends on how you judge a front office. The ultimate goal is to win. Khan has fleeced the Bears twice, this one and the Claypool trade. Put that in the larger context and I think they made a mistake moving Pickett and trading for Fields, but the two trades with the Bears favored the Steelers.

Some people don't even get that when they're asked what their plans are re: Pickett in the off-season, they have to say something along the lines of "he's our guy", you cannot say anything else as a team.
