I just watched a 10 minute highlight video of Fields from last season. There were very, very few 4th quarter passing highlights. Most of the highlights were first half, and many of the 4th quarter highlights were runs.

How do you prove yourself if you don't get on the field?

Do you really think he will be happy not playing?

Which is this year is it not? I think his option is around 25 million. So he gets paid
25 million to be a yes man sitting the whole year?

Mason did. Proved that he was a great teammate, and when he finally got on the field proved that he had improved his game sitting on the bench.

No one offered him a FA contract the previous year. He came crawling back to the Steelers. I was elated
that he played well for 4 games. This isn't about MR/KP they are no longer
PGH Steelers, this is about RW and JF suppose RW plays well and next year he wants to extend his playing career,
what position does this put the Steelers in with JF? He is do a 25 million option may 2, 2024. Also how does JF improve
his market ability if he doesn't see the field?

Stating a preference to be traded doesn't support much of the other nonsense being put forward in these discussions,

I don't need a deep breath. I'm just offering an honest assessment of where they are right now. Some folks can't seem to handle that.

He is also a poor fit in Arthur Smith's offense. So is Wilson. Neither guy likes to throw over the middle, but that's exactly where Smith prefers to do a lot of his damage in the passing game.

Still a long ways to go until the season starts. A lot of things will change between now and then.

    That came from Dulac

He is wrong at least as much as he is right

    And that’s the problem

You just can’t believe it and I personally won’t quote it as fact unless I make certain of my facts

But I seem to be in the minority here

    No I did not

I actually very clearly said I didn’t know much about Fields

    I’m an old German engineer

    I quite short accurate facts

If someone wants to argue those facts it’s either because they could not comprehend the facts or they just want to twist them so they can argue

I thought I heard Mac Brown complaining during the ACC season, so how many games did he end up playing last year?

    Practice OTAs Camp Preseason Games

If you don’t show it there you should not be taking up space on game day

Do you get full speed action in these practices, ota's? Are they allowed to hit QB's?

This is why I keep asking people who they would trust in the fourth quarter with the game on the line, Pickett or Fields. If they know anything about Fields and they answer honestly, it's Pickett and it is not even close.

Alot of the bitching about Pickett was the TD passing. It barely gets any better with Fields.
That's the cellar dwellar Washington (4tds) and Sucky Denver (4tds).
I can only hope Wilson is on fire this season.

This is a lot of what I've been saying. He does a poor job reading defenses, plays his worst in the fourth quarter when the game is on the line, and he can't protect the football. Fields fetched less in trade than Pickett for good reason.
