    Please no.

Hearing Mike Tomlin showing a lot of interest in Davius Richard QB NC Central.
Probably UDFA but nonetheless interest is there.

If anything reported is 'click bait' then we might as well turn off the TV

There's pretty much a consensus on more than one source that this is in fact how this all went down.

He was a cheap option at QB. The Steelers would not have traded him unless they were obliging to his demands.

I hope he sees the field in certain situations, such as short yardage plays.

Well, they aren't done adding to the OL or the receiving corps.

Trading for Jefferson is just wishful thinking, Minnesota would want quite a few picks for him, and he's looking to be one of the highest paid receivers in the league.

Because a guy with multiple concussions is perfect for the Philly Shove.

They needed a young talented QB on the team, he didn't cost them any draft picks in 2024, also now they don't need to draft a QB early this year fill other holes on the team.

I wasn't talking about Wilson vs. Pickett. I thought you said Fields was better, but how can you say that if you don't even know how Fields handles such situations? We have seen Pickett come through quite a bit with the game okn the line. Fields doesn't do that. Sure, he could get better, but so could Pickett. People here tend to forget that part.

For those who like to talk about a quarterback's record, the Bears are 10-28 in games started by Fields. His fourth-quarter numbers are horrendous. Here is a section of an article that ran on The Athletic In January.

    The critical situations
Fields’ most notable and publicized struggles have come in clutch, late-game situations. We covered this extensively in late November, before Fields’ first big-time throw in a comeback situation to lead to a win.

Poles highlighted these moments as Fields’ room for growth.

“Still see growth in the two-minute part,” Poles said. “That’s a critical part that we’ve got to continue to get better at because that’s where you win games, more games, close games. And a lot of times, when you look at the playoffs and championships, that’s where you close it out. That’s one big part.”

Here’s how Fields ranked in the fourth quarter this season out of 32 qualifying quarterbacks:

    STAT TOTAL RANK
    Comp. % 51.1 32nd
    TD/Att 3.3 26th
    INT/Att 6.5 32nd
    Sack % 9.8 26th
    YPA 6.0 26th
    Passer rating 53.4 32nd
    EPA/Att -0.12 32nd
For those who want to take out the interception against the Cleveland Browns on the final play of the game, his fourth-quarter interception rate would still rank dead last.

It’s simply not good enough. He followed up the best three quarters of his career against the Denver Broncos with a 21.0 passer rating in the fourth. In a playoff-hopes-crushing loss in Cleveland, Fields was 3-for-9 passing in the final quarter.

I don't know how any Steelers fan who knows anything about Fields can honestly say they wouldn't trust Pickett more in the fourth quarter.

If has had multiple concussions that hasn't stopped him from running the ball .

The line is worse. They have less depth at tackle and their current options at center are even worse than Cole, and Cole was horrid. That Okorafor was overpriced doesn't mean he isn't better than what they have right now behind Moore and Jones.

That's the point. They still have to sign and/or draft a center. They still have to address tackle, if only depth. They still need to replace Johnson and Robinson at receiver. They also need another corner, depth on the defensive line, and probably another inside linebacker given Holcomb's uncertain situation.

That's a lot of work to do.

So yes, the offense is worse right now than it was at the end of the season, and the holes they have created on that side of the ball aren't the only ones the Steelers need to address with that money and those draft picks.

No, there are a bunch of outlets all pulling from one source, Dulac, and he has no credibility at all.

That would be a mistake extending Wilson this early, let's see if he can get the team into the playoffs and win first.

As a former BOG member of an HBCU and Steeler traditionalist and Bill Nunn admirer, I like it when some of these lesser known players from HBCUs are getting some love. :thumbs up:

    No

Read again Adam Schefter also states Kenny 'preferred' to be traded after hearing Russ was coming to town.

His source is not Dulac. There are multiple other sources saying the same thing.

I think he was actually referring to Justin Fields, not Kenny Pickett.

In 2023 Wilson/Fileds combined to throw 31 redzone TDs, the Steelers QBs just 5 .
