That's BS. Here is your quote in the original post I responed to:

"Kenny is a self-entitled, bratty, insubordinate and intellectually inferior individual"

I have no idea of Pickett's character, but Pickett had a very low Wonderlic score and this latest demand to be traded proves he is not very smart. All he had to do was hold the clipboard for a year and actually absorb some knowledge from a wily veteran and he would get an opportunity to start again shortly. Russell is going to be 36 soon and his contract is for just one year. Also Steelers would have given him every opportunity to succeed as they wouldn't want to admit failure on a first round pick. Now he will probably be a backup till he is cheap. Mason's floor is a back up career like Charlie Batch because he is a likeable guy and actually tries to helps out starters. If he gets a chance to start and continues his success, then he could be another Kirk Cousins or NOD. There is reports that say that he would be given opportunity to claim the starting job and has incentives build into his contract.

https://www.si.com/nfl/steelers/new... have emerged of,base salary of $1.35 million.

Okay, let me explain to you what I’m referring to:

Kenny acted as if he was self-entitled based on his attitude the last few games while Mason was balling out. He’s not Ben. He has not proven anything up to this point in his career. He’s entitled to nothing.

Kenny was acting bratty based on his curt “NO!” When asked if he had learned anything from the sidelines while watching Mason play as if to say “Mason can’t teach me anything”. Subsequent to that, he also said something to the effect of “if I were healthy, I was going to start!” IMO, that’s a bratty attitude.

IF Kenny refused to suit up for Seattle, he was being insubordinate. Now, there are conflicting stories about that so believe what you want. Maybe Kenny didn’t explicitly refuse, maybe he simply pouted until Tomlin decided not to dress him. Who knows? But based on some reports he pouted his way out of Pittsburgh so is that so hard to believe? Do you think it was Tomlin’s or Omar’s idea to trade him? Of course it wasn’t! Kenny pitched a hissy fit when the Steelers signed Wilson and asked to be traded because he didn’t want to stick around and fight for his job!!! BRATTY!

Kenny is an intellectually inferior quarterback based on his well below average Wonderlic score and his inability to read and process quickly enough to be an effective starter!

So bottom line…I STAND BY EVERYTHING I SAID that you took the time to quote above. If you have a different opinion, my friend, that’s cool. But that doesn’t invalidate my opinion.

You would win that bet. Even if Levis gets the wind knocked out of him and Rudolph comes in and hands the ball off for a play, that is a first team rep. The Eagles are loaded and will probably put some beat downs on a team or two. If Pickett comes in late with a 38-10 lead and kneels down to end the game, that is a first team rep.

From a learning standpoint it’s a good spot for him with an offensive minded coach. The negative is he has to wait 2 years to test FA and get another opportunity unless of course there is an injury to Hurts.

The good thing about both of their situations is that there is no competition for them for the #2 spot. Rudolph has Willis behind him and Pickett has Tanner McKee at #3 behind him.

Agreed - those who still care are the ones dug in so deep on their position just to prove they were right.

To the Steelers credit, once we trade or release people, it isn’t often that they go somewhere else and have a great career. Look at all the WRs we have traded over the years (Holmes, AB, Claypool, etc).

Let’s just say. Hypothetically that one of them lights it up and takes their team to win a SB. We will never hear the end of it. I don’t think that will happen but if it did this website would self destruct.

I’m disappointed we never got to see what Pickett could do without Canada but acquiring Fields takes the sting out of another first rd bust.

The only thing that gnaws at me still is Pickett really did seem to have that clutch gene, six 4th qtr comebacks is impressive. Oh well.

Mason will be better. This is a crazy offseason. So many veteran QBs moving plus a QB rich draft will be interesting. I thought Mason’s best move would have been to the Vikings. His 1-year deal with the Titans may give him the opportunity to evaluate other teams for 2025 free agency. Will Levis showed promise but still needs to show improvement. Mason will get playing time, but I would be very surprised if he unseats Levis.

Sure that’s one way to look at

Another is if he played in quarters 1 2 and 3 like he did in 4 we would not have needed a clutch comeback

I know this- Both Fields and Pickett were traded to teams where they know they aren't going to be the starter.
Fields thanked his teammates, coaches, and the people of Chicago for the time he spent there. His teammates have tweeted about him, and how much they're going to miss him.
Absolutely nothing from Pickett either way.
    That's part of maturity.

After revisiting Kenny's college stats, he was rather unimpressive his Junior and Senior(4th) years throwing 13 TDs and 9 INTs both years. It wasn't until he was a 5th year Senior did he ball out with 42 TDs and 7 INTs. That aligns with the Tomlinism "varsity player in a JV game." Many rather ripped Mason for this in the pre-season, but that was exactly Kenny Pickett in college. Unfortunately, it didn't translate will into the NFL. I wish him well, but now I look at Justin Fields stats in college and they seemed more consistent and better than Kenny's. Both struggled in the NFL and hopefully Fields will improve with some of the players we have around him as well as working with Russell Wilson. Chicago had a worse OLine than Pittsburgh and both Pickett and Fields seem to leave the clean pocket early. Fields at least ran forward, where Pickett always did that frustrating spinout move in which he often go sacked. With an improved OLine Fields may brake that habit. I think Kenny's problem with that spin out move was he had that game winning throw against Baltimore in 2022 to Najee as a result of that spin out move. Now it seemed he kept making that mistake thinking he was the magic man, but every defense was aware and ready for it.
