I'm not arguing this move. But tell me why this is a good move if we have to decide in 2 months whether we are going to pick up his option. I don't get it. I figured after trading KP, we draft a QB, and resign Wilson to an extension. I think Russ will do great. I just don't undertand what is the point of this if we have to decide by May on the option.

Is Fields a one year rental?

 

We have 4 picks in the first 3 rounds too. C, WR, slot CB, T.... All positions we should be looking at.

 

I would say RT, C, WR, WR and then either DB or Defensive Line.

 

No reason to pick up the option. We could extend him for less.

Why don't the Steelers resign the one they like next year? Just like Tampa did this year, as soon as the season ends and even before free agency began they signed Baker to a new contract. Baker did not ever get a chance to test free agency; he just resigned with Tampa, before the start of the 2024 Free Agency period began.

 

Or they could try and do what the Packers did with Jordan Love and not pick up the fifth year option, they signed him to an extension instead.

 

I don’t think in my lifetime as a steeler fan almost 40 years I have seen so much moving of the deck! Should be an interesting season. Has to be more exciting than watching the past two snoozefests.
