Should start a list of guys that Tomlin hung on to way way way after it was apparent they were bad choices. I think Frank the Tank and Sylvester Sylvesterton would be 1 and 2.

 

I think you have to suck really bad or trade up to get that franchise QB, and the Steelers just don’t suck badly enough. Last time they had a top 5 pick was 55 years ago. Otherwise there is a large chance that you whiff on that pick. Unless you’re the Browns, then you whiff on top 5 guys too. Repeatedly.

RW is 35 and on a one year deal. If KP was bent out of shape over them signing him, he should not have been. He should have sucked it up and watched his own game video to figure out how to get better.

He was a fringe special teamer as an inside linebacker. I'm sure I spelled his name wrong but he was the poster child for getting cut, being placed on the PS, brought up, released, resigned, played a preseason game 4, get cut, brought back. Rinse and repeat.

 

I really think it's Khan, because this organization hasn't done this in the past and he is the only new guy between Ownership, GM and Head Coach. I think he is trying to save Tomlin because Tomlin has shown he has no clue how to develop young QBs so he went out and signed a veteran, superbowl winner and he is clearing the path for Wilson so Tomlin doesn't have to make any decisions at the QB position.

 

In 3-5 years, Khan is either going to look like a mad genius or an absolute idiot.

Tomlin seems to think he is in win now mode…there will be so many new moving parts, the season could really go sideways.

I would have felt better with Wilson if we kept DJ.

 

There were a lot of those. Trey Edmunds, Marcus Allen, Daniel McCullers…

 

There were a couple of CB's taken the same year that were buds that never made it past 5th on the depth chart and then the outlier CB's that were projects that never made it out of the lab. Far more bad choices kept than success stories of 7th round or undrafted guys making it.

 

After everyone in the FO said bringing Rudolph back was a priority. Doesn’t seem like they did.

Probably wrong thread but was thinking out loud what we have in terms of draft picks this year. We traded a 4th and KP to the eagles for a 3rd and the highest of two 7th round picks. We got a 4th round when we traded dotson so we have a First, Second, two thirds and 4th this year along with later round picks. I think I have that correct.
