Whew. Thought for a minute that Khan had traded you and the server for that infamous player to be named later. Thanks for dispelling that rumor Chief and getting this party going again! :thumbs up:

Hopefully he is learning what is going on around him. Omar is the sweeper.

I don’t want him for his marginal playing ability

When he was here he was the go to guy that Ben went to after every series to review on an iPad

The guy would be an asset in that regard

And he would only be a number 3 so he would be adequate there

Apparently that never happened. I didn’t believe that story when it broke.

He supposedly did ask for a trade though but we’ll find out the truth of how all that played out.

Statistically Pickens wasn’t ranked a lot higher than DJ

    But he has more upside

That Kenny wanted out? I doubt it.

I’m not convinced Pickett would’ve been good, but I would have been more excited if Tomlin was the one traded

The only thing missing to make this a complete dumpster fire is for Football'n podcast to spew their two cents in yet another attempt to stay relevant in post football life.

Maybe Ramon" fat ass" Foster can chime in too. What say you Fat Ass?

Sorry whoever feelings this may hurt, but obviously Kenny is a panty waist millennial who's feelings are hurt entirely too easily..What has he proven in this league, and what does he think he's owed..You don't act entitled, you go out do the work and prove your worth.. Really thought he could have become a decent QB , but obviously where he thinks he is in his career, and what the rest of the population thinks is two different things .
Not thrilled about what has transpired, but I can live with it..The guy was too damn fragile anyway, he couldn't stay on the field.

After both were jettisoned from the team, I thought well, at least I won't have to read any more Pickett versus Rudolph posts. But alas, I was wrong, there is already a new thread arguing who will be more successful.

If he did demand a trade tells me he felt entitled ... and his play so far didn't show me he was entitled to anything

    Many many opportunities here.
    Draft penix or Bo.
Draft a starting OL to be in place for the QB the future next year.
    Fields

Rarely do failed first round QBs finish out their rookie contracts with the same team. Mac jones, Sam Howell, etc.

Coaches and GMs lie. All of them do it. I don't even mind that they do it, but what both Tomlin and Khan said about Pickett was some serious, wear-some-hip-waders-while-you-venture-into-that-mess dissembling.

They did not have full faith in Pickett. I don't care how he reacted to the Wilson signing. You don't trade a quarterback you took in the first round two years ago for such a small return unless you have lost faith in him. I don't doubt that he reacted poorly. It wasn't just that the team signed Wilson after saying this was the big year for him. Some of his teammates campaigned for Wilson. That said, the smart thing to do if you think he can ever be anything is to wait it out. Let him brood. Who cares? He didn't do it publicly. That just makes no sense as a reason for this trade,

LOL. Did you hear him complain publicly? No. You did not. There are anonymous reports that he requested a trade after the Wilson signing, and after some of his teammates called for them to sign Wilson. If it happened, he did it quietly. So no, your narrative doesn't fit the available facts.

I'm confused ... on one hand, this could be a great move, getting out from under Kenny Pickett, if he indeed is a bust in their eyes?

But what the hell was all that talk from Khan, and Mike's season-ending press conference saying Pickett is their guy? What a load of BS. How can you trust anything Tomlin says if you are a player?

Also, if they knew Kenny was the issue then why was Canada fired?

I said it before, but I'll say it again ... what they heck is Tomlin saying to these dudes? There are multiple dudes who have left over the years now, salty, after having different expectations based on previous conversations with the FO.

I wish we could have gotten better compensation for Pickett and DJ ... they are both clearly deals that were done, just to be done with it, because the relationship has completely soured.

At season ending there was no thought that they would sign Wilson

    Things changed drastically

100% believed that Kenny refused to be Mason's backup, and 100% believe that Kenny said he didn't learn anything watching Mason Rudolph start last year.
