Great comment. The Pickett pick was by Colbert as he was going out the door. Khan wasn't invested and should select his own QB.

I think going with a cap friendly Wilson as starter, signing someone else, and picking up a rookie in the draft is the way they will go.

 

We play the Eagles in Philly and we all know how the Steelers fair there. I'd love to see Pickett having to start that game.

Look, the guy sucked wind big time for two years so he deserved no consideration whatsoever. If that comment about him "preferring to move on" is accurate, I'm glad he's gone. If he didn't have enough confidence in himself to fight for the starting job then good riddance. To me this means we've got a deal worked out for Justin Fields.

 

Either way, Kenny sucked. We will be fine without him, especially if Dulac is right that Pickett handled the Russ signing poorly. He wasn't someone that publicly handled adversity too well over the past year so whatever. Kitchen got too hot and now he's out. Don't let the door hit ya.

 

I feel so much better now! Like I've finally had a "movement" after two years of blockage!

Right or wrong, it's how I feel. I'm actually excited for the future instead of expecting misery for at least 2-5 more years.

 

Trade with Dallas to get Cooper Rush to backup Wilson or sign Tannehill. Fields will be a distraction... if we're gonna keep Wilson for the next 3-4 years, Fields is not a good option.

I think we got the Eagles 3rd round pick this year in the Pickett trade. If the Steelers like Rattler then that is probably the last chance to get him late in the 3rd.
