Pickett traded to Eagles

Pickett pick is a bust. That much is official. The trade makes no sense. They did Pickett no favors and they didn’t get enough value even if you just look at him as a cheap backup. Now they have to spend resources on a No. 2 quarterback.

 

If Schefter is correct on this he will gain some credibility

If he is wrong he better go climb under a rock and stay there

Return kinda sucks, but couldn't expect much given Kenny's first two years. And I do like that if they weren't sold, cut bait and move on. Love that.

I told you that it was obvious that Wilson was the starter the moment that he was with us!...Of course I did not expect to see the steelers to trade Pickett very soon but it was obvious that Wilson was the starter without competition!

 

When you don’t sign a first round pick to a second contract that is a bust

When you get rid of a first round pick after 2 years that needs a whole new word

 

Enough wasting time on mistakes. Pickett likely wanted out and that is fine.... Volunteers not hostages. This FO is NOT afraid to cut ties with their mistakes. Can't say I am super surprised, though having a rookie deal BU was probably not the worst thing in the world. Pickett was a poor fit for Smith's offense anyways. Look for Tannehill to sign with us I guess lol

I don't feel bad for Pickett. Pickett went to bat for Matt Canada and said he wanted him back for continuity purposes and wanted him as his OC. He and Tomlin handcuffed themselves this past season by bringing Canada back.

I'm wondering if we are possibly looking to trade for Justin Fields now as a backup QB. Not sure how that would play out with his 5th year option coming up though.
