I agree about having some excitement. We have some pieces from last draft (Jones, Washington, Porter). We have made some good moves in FA and have the draft upcoming. Based on all of this, I feel better heading into this season.

To the point of this thread, I do think Tomlin must show the team is on an upward trajectory. We cannot continue to flounder.

no, it is not. it is a meaningful game. for us, it would be PROGRESS, a STEP in the right direction, something to build on. For the Chiefs, it is meh - for us, it is progress.

I look at it this way, in almost any other sport's league, especially any European football league, Tomlin would've been fired a long time ago. It's not my call to say whether or not he deserves to be fired, or not.

Big thing for me is that Steelers are embarking a new era of Steelers football and Tomlin represents the old era, much like Renegade. It's definitely time for a new set of eyes on the sidelines.

This isn't so much a knock on Tomlin, just It's time for a new direction. Tomlin will be in the HOF and deserves that reward for having a great career.

 

And how would Colon know what the Steelers are thinking in regards to the HC.
