    I was being facetious.

Just wish the team opted to go more West; namely the big guns like Tomlin and Kahn.

Now I see the problem. You misread the original post. I'm not criticizing him for dropping the pass. I'm talking about his reaction. The very next play was the one when he clearly took the play off and just stood around even after Warren fumbled. Johnson didn't react to the ball on the ground and he made no effort to try to make the tackle even though it was right in front of him. Have you not seen that play? It was the very worst example of him taking a play off and it wasn't after the team failed to get him the ball. It was after he failed to hold on to it.

I read/heard that DJ didn't fit Arthur Smith's offense because Arthur wants all 11 players blocking for the run game.

Mike Williams will become a free agent this week, so maybe the Steelers can upgrade to a bigger WR.

I get it, but I'm really tiered of hearing how great of contested catches some receiver the Steelers should go get is. Talk about the other parts of his game then. Tell me about how great his is with running routes or separation ability or how he can play inside/outside from both sides of the offense.

    Sayonara.

Failing to do a damn thing about Warren's fumble sealed it for me. He can languish in Carolina.

I still think with his fit in this offense and the way we draft wr and how loaded that position is in the draft I am comfortable we will find somebody.

I listend to a podcast last night where they said DJ was becoming a real problem in the locker room. He was disruptive in team meetings and blatantly disrespectful to coaches and QB’s. I think they wanted to get him away from GP as they said he was rubbing off on George.

The guy definitely had talent but I always said hi talent and production never warranted his level of Diva he expressed. Not to mention the lack of effort and giving up on plays. I don’t think it would have went well in Arthur Smiths offense or with the new WR coach from what I have read.

Yeah, that was disappointing to see him do that. Bad enough he didn’t try to fall on the fumble but then made it even worse by not chasing after him.

It's a bad look, and He shouldn't have done it, but sometimes it's hard to be a yes man. Wrs are mostly reliant on the Qb, and No matter what anyone tries saying.....our Wrs felt the wrong Qb was playing for their benefit.

Yes you are right. I believe there was frustration with both the OC and the QB, however it was the way he went about expressing his frustration that really soured me towards him. I already wasn’t a really big fan of his style of play and then to to sulk on the field or give up on plays then to confront coaches. I guess I’m old school but to me if you confront a coach and it happen more than one time then you have to go. That kind of attitude left unaddressed can wreck a team. He’s Carolina's problem now. Let’s hope he goes a little easier on their young QB than he did ours.

If the plan was to sign Russell Wilson and make some noise in the playoffs, then trading Diontae doesn't make much sense, they didn't get back much in return for him.

Honestly I want a YAC guy. A Hines Ward, Deebo Samuel type. Neither of those receivers were or are fast but they get open. If you have a good OC they will scheme guys open.
