Van Prann will be available in the 3rd round if they don't get JPJ or Frazier. The scouting report from bleacher report is that he would excell in an offense that runs the ball a lot so he could fit in here in Pittsburgh.

If JPJ is gone by the 20th pick, they don't need to reach to draft a center, remember Creed Humphrey lasted until late in the second round. Move up a few spots in the second round if they have to get Frazier.

Besides the Long snapper. Currently the Steelers do not have a single player on the team that took a single snap at center last year. I don't know how you can release your only center on the roster? Steelers are going to be forced to try a rookie at center again?

Right now is Mason Cole the top free agent center? FYI The Steelers saved $3.95 million by releasing Cole. Have you seen the contracts that starting centers are singing for?

Tyler Biadasz (Commanders): Agreed to a 3-year contract valued at $30 million.
Mitch Morse (Jaguars): Committed to a 2-year contract worth $10.5 million.
Andre James (Raiders): Locked in a 3-year deal worth $24 million.
Aaron Brewer (Dolphins): Signed a 3-year contract worth $21 million.

 

If he signed for 2year/$10.5mill then I the decision must've been more about the fit/team

 

There's not much left. We'd be better off trying James Daniels at C and signing or drafting a guard.
