I hope he absolutely balls out and has a tremendous amount of success wherever he lands.

Of course they know it, but you leave it out when you make those comparisons. One important fact is that Rudolph is six years into his pro career and Pickett is only two seasons in.

I'm sorry you can't handle me putting Rudolph in the proper context.

No, you really can't make that assumption. Just because teams didn't see him as a top-19 pick doesn't mean they don't see him among the top 32.

It wasn't a fallacy. Rudolph was bad enough that they benched him for Duck Hodges. That is a fact whether you like it or not. You could argue that the team screwed up Rudolph's development or that he just wasn't that good. It seems they are intent on screwing up Pickett's development. It is interesting and likely hypocritical that you assume the lack of development by Rudolph is the Steelers' fault, but the lack of development by Pickett is Pickett's fault.

I never said that the lack of development by Kenny was all his fault. Obviously, Mike Tomlin and Matt Canada are partially to blame there. And the team did hinder Rudolph's development and seem to be doing the same to Kenny's development as we sit here today. Rudolph took the bull by the horns, maintained a positive attitude and continued working trying to make himself the best QB he could be outside of the Steelers purview. Kenny had better do the same. Hopefully, Arthur Smith and the new offensive coaching staff can help him take the next step but he doesn't need to trust the Steelers coaching staff, headed by Tomlin, to develop him into a competent professional quarterback.

There is no reason to jettison Pickett. Even if they plan to start Wilson no matter what and I don’t believe thats the plan but even if it is, Pickett is cheaper and they could still be looking to give him another opportunity next season. Wilson is signed for one season.

Good luck to Mason and wherever he goes, he seems like a really good person. I was always a big critic of him after he lost his job to the Duck but after sitting on the bench for years he came in and saved the Steelers season last year. He proved me wrong he definitely can help a team if their starter gets hurt.

You would spend a lot more money based on three games out of six seasons. That is laughable.

LoL. Did You sit up for 2 nights trying to think of a stupid comeback, and that's all You got. Sad??? The sad part is all You added to what I already said is..... Im sorry You can't handle having it put into proper context. LoL....wow...you wasted time with that??? LoL...Again anyone who watches Steelers (im repeating myself for the slow) knows the proper context....You know that, I know that, anyone that watches knows that, but You somehow think that changes anything. If they didn't know it....they shouldn't be talking about it. Hey guess what.....water is wet.....Wow I guess I got You there.LoL. That's just as dumb as what You wrote.

you thought the Steelers signing a QB FA made zero sense.

Pickett might be a whiney primadonna baby - we will see.....rumors are he is requesting a trade.

    BYE BYE if he is.....

Once he was released, league sources tell All Steelers that the team met with Kenny Pickett to explain their plans to pursue the Broncos quarterback. Pickett was very open to the idea, being described as a "true professional" about the situation.

I heard today (rumor, of course) that he wants out.

    I guess we will see.

he should shut up and watch from from a Pro-Bowler. get seasoned and learn. And.....chances are , in TODAY'S game, he will play sometime this year as QB's get hurt!

He’d only want out if they told him there is no competition and Wilson is starting but from two reports I’ve seen, that is not the case.

Eisen said he was told specifically Wilson has to compete for the job and someone else said Wilson wants a guarantee that there would at least be competition. So, I don’t think he is being handed the job.

Pickett still has the first rd capital working in his favor, if he plays like he did last preseason I bet they start him and probably give him 4 or 5 games to see if anything has changed with Smith running the show.
