A one year deal with the Donkos paying most of the bill and no usage of draft picks. Works for me.
Would have liked to see Rudolph get another shot based on his decent performance late last year. Looks like his market is slim. BTW, I just found a flyer in my door for the grand opening of Reindeer Real Estate.
    The Donkos take the largest dead cap hit in history over the next two seasons, according to CNN;

“Per the NFL, the Broncos will incur $85 million in dead salary over the next two years by releasing Wilson, which will be the largest dead cap hit in league history.

Wilson, who won Super Bowl XLVIII during his time in Seattle, has 43,653 passing yards, 334 touchdowns and 106 interceptions during his NFL career.”

Cleveland to Denver :”Hold my beer…”

To me, this indicates that the Steelers have about as much faith in KP as a lot of us do.

That was my thought, too, but I think it means the search for a long-term answer at quarterback has started all over again. I doubt they do this if they really still believe in Pickett.

Russell Wilson is not coming to the Steelers to be a back up.

Wilson was good about 5 years ago that being said he is still probably better than KP. Pickett is done here.

It's going to be interesting where Justin Fields goes

The Falcons are interested in Kirk Cousins
No way the bears will trade Fields in their division (Vikings)
Raiders is a possibility but its former OC is also now the OC of raiders so it could play against....

I couldn't say that. It is a 1-year deal at a Vet minimum.
I certainly want Wilson having a starter mentality but all this doom in the cards for Pickett is way premature.
Win the competition.. that's what it is all about. If he can't win, I'm ok with it. Move on.
If Wilson plays well, he can buy some time.

Signing Russell Wilson is a sign that the Steelers should draft a QB this year.

Jordan Travis in the 3rd woul be great.

To me it’s the opposite. We are now no longer in desperation mode. Getting Russell Wilson for 1.2 million dollars is highway robbery for the Steelers. It will really look bad for the Donkeys if he comes here and succeeds while they pony up $38.8 million dollars for nothing.

I don't really see this as 'time to go after a QB in the draft' waste.
    3 will go very early.
We certainly don't need a marginal QB. They probably will pick an Undrafted QB.

I would go for my OT.
I think a Center can be had in Free Agency - maybe even our next move.

Anybody who frowns on this extremely cheap signing of a SB Champ 9 Time ProBowler is just not paying attention to how we are no longer desperate for a QB.

Enraptured, Enchanted, Embalmed... some might know.

The best news is that we won't have to hear about it anymore!

His stats are misleading but hey he does bring a winning pedigree.

Pickett either Steps Up or Steps Off.

This is the end of Mason in Pittsburgh.

The draft is pretty deep with centers. I don't want another Mason Cole. Need to get younger there.

If not Powers-Johnson then Frazier in the 2nd. I would go with a tackle in the 1st or 2nd as well.

I wouldn't mind Frazier for sure.
But I also wouldn't mind the Bills center. But you have a point, it would be good get a Center on a rookie deal. My only issue there is that we need an OT more and they are harder to get. If they pull it off, I'm all in.

I get what your saying Wilsons stats are a bit misleading but he does bring a winning pedigree.

Pickett will either stand up or fold. We shall see....

I feel like I should send a thank you card. Sending it a mile high with old Christmas card on sale and a $1 check to show my appreciation.:D

They offer the house in draft picks and capital and we offer a smile and granola bar

In all seriousness, the question is what does this say about the Steelers true thoughts on Kenny Pickett?

1.2 million dollars for Russell Wilson is a gamble worth taking even if you have as bad of luck as I have always had. Kenny Pickett will either learn quickly or be gone but it is still attainable for him to be here if it starts to click. He just needs to work on his first 45 minutes of game to be successful. A large task for sure but not as impossible as you seem to believe.

My only concern is are we looking at AB 2.0?

Is he going to jive with the locker room?
