Been some speculation that the Khan Artist is showing interest in Wilson to get the Bears to lower their price.

Kobaly wrote that he may be doing it to put pressure on Rudolph to re-sign sooner rather than later.

Whoever disagreed with you knows nothing about football. Fields is a bust. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

Wouldn't shock nor surprise me personally.

I have no idea if Omar and co. is bringing him in to push Chicago, but we have ONE Qb signed, if you have the possibility to sign a SB winning QB (regardless of his present ability) for possibly the league minimum, you would be a fool not to pick up the plane ticket and at least talk. I've read a lot of negative about him (both on and off the field), have seen guys who were 'washed" have amazing comebacks, for the possible price to sign, you sit down and gab a bit.

I would happily take Wilson on a vet minimum contract than trade anything for Fields. I like Cousins, but I don't $40-50mil per year like him. Cousins has probably maximized his value better than any QB in history. He's literally been able to consistenly get paid in the same range as the most elite QBs in the league, despite being no more than an above average QB who has never won anyhing meaningful in his career. Only Sam Bradford could be in the same conversation for getting paid the most for doing less relative to his peers.

I just don't see Russell signing a 1 year contract. He will want to do the same thing he did in Denver, and immediately sign a 4-year contract, with those future years coming in at the "but I don't $40-50mil per year like him" level.

Wanna Bet? You watch what Russell signs for. He is not going anywhere on a 1 year deal.

I hope you're thirsty. No way Wilson gets more than a very cheap 1 year deal this offseason.

Again, doubt that Russell Wilson is the last big move the Steelers make.

Expect more to come in the coming days.

This has got to be the cheapest "splash move" in the history of the NFL. So in that regard, I guess it's okay and worth the risk. It may pan out. It sounds like Wilson has a bit of a chip on his shoulder after his Mile High experience.
