As @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace and @jeh1856@jeh1856 have both been stating; Kahn and Weidl are sending a message. Either you produce or you'll get put out. No exceptions.

Don't think for a second either that players like DeMarvin Leal (someone whom Ive had major questions with) and others are not in the running to be cut either.

Well, this move was expected from a salary cap standpoint. Still, considering the lack of depth (and maturity) in the WR room, as well the secondary with the Peterson news, I have to think Kahn has some specific free agents targeted when the season opens next week.

Looking forward to see what transpires.

I think they were trying to get him to take a pay cut and he wouldn’t do it. Thats my guess.

Same goes for the Pro Days. Mark your calender for March 12th. Why?! That day is Oregons Pro Day; Jackson Powers Johnson being the highlight of it all. That said, Troy Franklin isn't too shabby himself either.

Wouldn't mind getting him in Round 2 if Ruke Orhorhoro is gone.

    I had read the same.

I just didn't post any of the reports about it so Jeh could focus on yelling at the kids on the front lawn.

The more I see, the more I like of the talent available in the second and third rounds. It's one of the reasons I'm interested to see the direction Kahn goes when free agency opens.

This is the year the Steelers aren’t primarily just observers.

He has been a rock-solid starter for the Bills for five years.

We have 25 million in available cap space now. They pretty much have to sign an inside linebacker, center, and corner.

After looking at OTC's numbers and some quick math, they are now ~$28.4M under the cap.

And still nothing on the 2 DT's pulling down $35.6 million combined against the Cap.

They have the money to sign a top-tier player at at least one of those positions, which would take pressure off of the the draft. I'm interested to see which way Khan goes in FA.

Have you seen the Safety market for Free Agents, It is crazy, everyone seems to be releasing Softies to save cap money this year.

No excuse for the Steelers to not find a starter at strong safety in free agency.
