I don't have much faith in either of them, but Wilson will be cheaper and he won't cost them any draft picks.

Dulac continues to demonstrate that he has no credibility at all. Was it even a week ago that he caused a fuss when he reported that the Steelers weren't interested in any quarterback who would want to be a starter?

As much as I love my Steelers, and have for over fifty years, I will not watch if Wilson is the qb. Bring on the “bye Felicia’s”.

There are things that I just want to shake my head at, but when your HOF QB retires you can go through a rough period finding a new guy. I do not want Russ, but in this situation and if the price is right, then he is the best option in what realistically we can afford to get an experienced starter QB. Giving up draft capitol (especially in round 1 or even 2) is pretty dumb. If it is Russ, I also do not buy that they have any confidence in KP, will they continue to work with him..of course, but this is pot hole fill in until they can find their future.

well said - back-filling a HOF QB was never going to be easy.....

Wilson could be a very cheap stop measure - with some strong upside, because, this roster in general does not suck.

I think it is hilarious that people are saying Russel Wilson will be coming to the Steelers to be a backup or have to compete for the starting job.

If Russel Wilson comes to the Steelers, there is going to be about as much of a QB Competition as they had in 2022 after they signed Mitch an hour after free agency began.

Russel is not going anywhere to be a backup.

He’s released as far as I know but it won’t be official until the beginning of the new league year. The Broncos are simply allowing him to talk to teams before the new league year starts.

What Wilson gets paid will determine a lot. Could be a very big reason why he wouldn’t take a low contract, hes going to want to start.

I have spent the last twenty years living 20 miles from Seattle, listening to them cry about the super bowl, then hearing how great Wilson was, i just came to have that irrational football fan hatred for him. That ain't changing.

Over the last several years, I've spent a bit of time in the Seattle area. Where are you? I hope not Tacoma! I've always liked Russel but, can't stand Pete Carroll! I think most Seahawk fans are like Pats fans, can't think of any of their teams players before their first SB team.

Ok. I'm confused on free agent rules. Was Trubisku a free agent? How can the Steelers meet with Wilson before free agency? How was Trubisky signed already

I mean he sucks now but why? I don’t think he did anything bad or offensive besides saying we ride.

Why do you think that? He had a disastrous run with the Broncos.

I’m thinking with all the money due him by the Broncos that he won’t be so adamant on seeking a big contract. Not sure anyone would give him one anyway after the last 2 seasons. 3 really, ever since he injured his finger in Seattle he hasn’t been the same guy.

I don't think having to compete for a starting job with Kenny Pickett would be a deterrent to Wilson. If he can't beat out Pickett then he needs to retire.

29 touchdowns and 8 interceptions is a HOF season compared to the majority of what we’ve seen for two seasons. If it’s true Wilson has a meeting scheduled with the Steelers does anyone still believe the Steelers have faith in Pickett?
