If Cleveland finds a QB, things are going to get real interesting in this division. Thats 6 games a year that will be dog fights, going to be imperative that we win the games outside of our division that we should win, no more screw ups like Titans, Raiders and SD. Good teams win those games. Although, I think SD will become a force again, think Whiz was a great hire for them.

I think Norv is a very good OC, and will make Trent Richardson a stud.

Yeah...my stomach kind of dropped when I heard this. The days of the Browns games being gimmees are over.

if norv couldn't win with those stacked SD teams ,then what can he do with less talent in clev?

btw..the browns already have their Lombardi, as in Michael Lombardi hired as their new VP of player personal

Norv is a great offensive coordinator, but he was a mediocre head coach. I think with him just having to focus on the offense, you'll see a whole new person. If Haley left, and Kirby didnt take his place, Norv Turner would have been a good pick up for us.

Just because a certain coach is hired doesnt mean anything...while Norv in previous years has been a good OC...it doesnt means the Browns are not automatically good. They still have a ways to go...

I wonder how long it will take whiz before he pisses Rivers off...Whisenhunt is overrated as a play caller in my opinion, he caused all kinds of commotion in the locker room before he left the cards, players said he held grudges against players and punished them if they complained about how things were being done...

Cleveland was already improving and Norv has an outstanding track record as an OC. They also have a new owner who is very successful plus he was around our team for several years, I'm sure he picked up on how to run an organization. Cleveland will be a force again, bank on it.

Probably right but Norv did a good job of making the chargers worse each year for the last couple of seasons. Did he have a hand in Rivers downfall? Weeden is no Rivers and i'm not too confident Banner or Lombardi will find the talent needed for Norv to succeed. But yeah, I was a lot less worried about them before they hired Norv, lol

Norv is a lousy HC, big difference between the two. In charge of every single aspect of the team or just in charge of 1 unit. I wish we could have gotten him but even if Haley left they probably would have stayed in house this time.

Norv is an exceptional play caller, and a good developer of QBs. I'm disappointed that he will be in our division.

Yeah i get that. That's why I also mentioned Banner and Lombardi and my lack of optimism about them bringing him the talent to succeed. ;)

Richardson is already dangerous. I think the Browns turn the corner next season - provided their FO actually tries to nurture the team rather than destroy it.

Should I go ahead and post the 'this has nothing to do with the Steelers and is in the wrong section' or should I just wait?

I m not as worried about Whiz in SD as I am Norv going to cleveland. Cleveland is going to be a thorn in our side again real soon.

Am missing something here, what has Kirby done with the Steelers to even be considered for an OC job???

Reportedly, it was his job before he was injured in a house fire. Steelers generally like to promote from within and Tomlin wanted Kirby.
