well, that means DJ is out then, by this standard.

I think it is dumb, by the way - that 'big people" WR garbage

the larger point is that they are saving $$ for GP (if he further develops) and the ceiling is only so high for DJ, he has hit it and it now time to move him on.

PS - Austin IS on the team, he will step up and they will then draft the next young WR.

Frustration showing on this play. He clearly doesn’t want him since he advocated for Rudolph to start.

I’m not a fan of that type of behavior, especially quitting on plays. If you can get good compensation for him, move him.

Just got a big contract, too. 52 million, 2 yr deal to stay with the Bucs.

Damn that's a good contract!!! No way we could've done that!!

Take a peek at the WR FA list. Suddenly DJ has very little value for trade. My opinion.

DJ has PLENTY of value - for a draft pick or 2 + another player

    ALL SORTS of options....

and there is NO WAY DJ is offered anything close to that to stay here.
another reason to try to move him

It's not as if he was Dri Archer, who was a terrible choice. Despite his size, Austin was a complete receiver at Memphis. If he wasn't undersized, he would have gone in the first or second round. Maybe he still won't work out, but he wasn't just a trick play guy.

we will agree here - Austin can still be fine.

give him a NFL offense to play in and he will be fine.

I don’t think he will fetch a 2nd rd pick because this draft is loaded with WR’s so he has that going against him. In addition Chicago was trading for Claypool based on potential and he was still on a rookie contract. This is a different situation. I could see him dong really well for a KC though but I just don’t see teams paying for a veteran and giving up draft capital when there are cheaper options through the draft.

I get it but in a year where there is alot of talent in the draft at that position it doesn’t seem to be a wise a move. I don’t think it is as much of a crap soot to draft WR’s anymore. They seemingly come in every year and light it up now.

    Sorry but I’m not impressed

17 receptions in two years yippie

Even in 4 games where DJ was out he could only manage 6 receptions

He’s on the roster so try the midget toy again but there is zero reason for anyone to project him as anything more than a number 4 or 5 receiver

I saw someone suggest he should be used as an outside receiver SMH

Everone seems to have a camp project he can be your

PWP will probably want to switch him to safety

He played outside receiver at Memphis, so that is probably why it was brought up.

I don't like what we have seen of him as a pro. He just hasn't produced. I'm just pushing back against the notion that he is just a gimmick player. He was a lot more than that in college. Also, he has only played one season in the NFL. He missed all of his rookie year with an injury that has nothing to do with his size.
