I am so tired of hearing about Fields. Lets get thoughts on this one, I know I am going out on a limb here.

One good thing in my opinion, JJ McCarthy interviewed with 11 teams, the Steelers wasnt one of them. Thank you Lord Jesus.

    Would rather have Pratt.

I could see a QB room of:

    Pickett
    Tannehill
    Pratt

With the hope that if Pickett should fail, then Tannehill finishes the year and hopefully Pratt can be the guy next season.

I had to break away from watching the combine just after Pratt’s group of QBs started throwing. I saw him throw a rainbow in the 10 yard out drill. Was that flukey or does he lack arm talent to drive the ball to the sideline?

I didn’t see his combine performance but I haven’t noticed any problems with arm strength and seems pretty accurate to me.

If you read NFL.coms evaluation they aren’t very complimentary of him at all. Go figure but I like his game.

The announcers were really impressed with Rattler's performance at the combine. They were showing how much his footwork was better than the other QB's in his group which allowed him to be more accurate.

Who is this Pratt guy you speak so highly of ? Is it Chris Pratt’s brother? Or maybe Jack Pratt’s brother? Lol

Before the Senior Bowl and combine Rattler was looked at as someone you could nab in the 5th round but he was the Senior Bowl's MVP and was impressive in the combine which probably puts him up to the 3rd round. The Steelers need too much help at CB and the trenches to take a QB that early.

Im hoping he is available in 4rd, but no and I mean none of the mock drafts have us taking him.
One mock draft had us trading up to 10 and taking JJ McCarthy, no thanks. Would be similar to trading up and getting Devin Bush, same team too!

I'm certainly not an NFL scout but I could see during the combine workout that Rattler clearly was sharper throwing the ball than either JJ McCarthy or Bo Nix.

Pratt kind of reminds me of Gardner Minshew. Neither one has a big time arm but they are scrappy gym rats that put it all out on the field.

This doesn't make any sense; you don't want McCarthy who is a better prospect than Rattler, I don't get the hype for Rattler who is only 6ft tall and didn't live up to the hype in college.

Rattler might be more physically talented. Also, he's not going to cost a high first-round pick. I'm not a big fan of either guy, but Mccarthy is going to be overdrafted.

Rattler in the 4th round would be okay.

I don't want either one of them, I don't see Rattler as an NFL starting QB, I could see McCarthy being an Alex Smith type of QB.

Only had 77 tds… McCarthy not even close, benefitted from a great run game and offensive line and a good defense. OVERRATED

Yet McCarthy will get drafted a lot higher than Rattler, one guy wins the other guy doesn't .

You are right to a degree, look at the team around JJ , Rattler played behind a very porous offensive line. That makes a huge difference.

I just see Rattler as a career backup, I'm also not a fan of drafting the shorter QBs.

He has a strong arm, will stay in pocket, if flushed he keeps his head up looking for open receivers. I have been wrong many times in my life, but i think Rattler plays on Sundays.
