Being that he is strictly a pass rusher I am doubting he could drop into coverage. I like him, I just don't know
with Herbig hardly getting any playing time how Chop could fit in our plans.

 

Do they not bench press at the Combine any more? Haven't been able to find numbers anywhere.

 

Me neither, those babies probably had it banned. I personally want to see OL bench press numbers, More of the vetting process.

K, just saw on NFL network they have the bench listed for DL, DE, and LB. Makes sense that none are listed for DB, Safety, or TE.

 

Haven't seen much on this guy but his numbers at the combine were off the charts for a tight end. He might be worth a 4th round pick. tight end from Penn State

I think they have bigger needs than to use a 4th on a TE, they will probably sign Muth to an extension this offseason.

 

A center first

 

What has Muth done to deserve an extension?

 

Be the only TE in league history to have 60 or more receptions in their first two seasons.

 

He was very impressive at the combine. 6'8" 260 and ran a 4.5 forty, that's just crazy.

 

They do....they just haven't talked, or show much....although I've seen I shot , or two of certain players.

Keep in mind they did not burn any of their 45 formal Interviews on players they met at the Senior Bowl. (Like JPJ)

 

Drafting an RB earlier than the 6th or 7th would be a mistake by the Steelers.

 

Can Van Pran handle a bull rush? Are his snaps in shot gun accurate. I am asking because I don't watch too many Ga games.

 

Starting center on two national championship teams. First team ESPN and SI All American, second team (behind Powers-Johnson) on just about every other list. Received SEC Jacobs blocking trophy as best blocker in SEC. Finalist for Rimington Trophy as nations top center. He obviously can block and snap.
Since failing to show up for the Senior Bowl, his stock has dropped like a rock, with no real explanation. He did nothing besides weigh-ins and interviews at the combine. He was considered the top center in the draft before that, and now a commenter on NFL.com said he wouldn't make his top 125.

Not my choice but I hate to use #20 on a center and don't believe Frazier will be there in 2nd when we choose unless we trade up.

 

As fans we tend to over-value players we like at a position of need. Although I do believe JPJ and Frazier are both top50 talent in this draft, I am not convinced they don't both fall to our 2nd round pick. I feel very confident one of the top3 Centers will be there. I would be happy with JPJ, Frazier, or Van Pran.

 

I guess we will have to wait on his pro day?

 

Well, the Steelers hardly sent the house to Oregon's pro day. Just Meyer was there.

 

If Tomlin and Khan were there we wouldn't have Queen. This week, at least, free agency has to take priority.

 

We are drafting Zach anyway.

 

If the Steelers really like Frazier then they better take him at #20 because he won't be there at #51.
