No, I mean that three games out of six years aren't enough to prove anything, especially when you consider the poor quality of the Cinci and Seattle defenses and that the Ravens treated the season finale like an exhibition game. If you think doing nothing but throwing a killer interception until the team is down 21-0 impressive, that's a failure in your perceptions, not mine.

I'm sorry if putting all that in context interferes with your dreams about Rudolph, but I prefer a more complete evaluation. That doesn't even bring up Rudolph getting to play after Canada was gone. Pickett got one full game of that and the team immediately broke its 400-yard drought.

Please stop trying to read my mind. You suck at it.

That is, at best, an overly simplistic definition of intelligence. The way we communicate reflects intelligence. The ability to learn is an important aspect of intelligence, too.

If you had read the rest of the discussion, you would know I wasn't entirely serious about that. I was using it to mock his way of measuring intelligence, which seems to be that anyone who disagrees with him has a low IQ.

The first step in achieving wisdom and knowledge is realizing one's own ignorance. I learned that from Plato or Socrates. Can't remember which one.

I was Socrates. It sounds more like Socrates, but I also looked it up to be certain.

Socrates was the teacher of Plato, and Plato the teacher of Aristotle

So depending on how old you are that might help to narrow it down

Yeah ypu forgot to mention the part where Rudolph got them to the playoffs & then gave them a chance to actually beat Buffalo interception or not... you hang everything on that interception & constantly bring it up because it's the ONLY legitimate criticism you have ... I'm sorry that putting the last 2 god awful seasons of offense prior to Rudolphs appearance in context interferes with your dreams about Pickett but I prefer a sane evaluation of reality....
Plz stop making excuses (like somehow it was Canada's fault),,, you suck at it..

LOL You actually are impressed by a quarterback making some plays after helping his team fall behind by 21. You're funny.

I have plenty of legitimate criticisms of Rudolph. He still has the same poor pocket presence he always had. See the Ravens game for examples. He had four years to show the team he could be something before they ever drafted Pickett. He failed. The entire league saw him the same way, every team passing on him before the 2023 season.

Canada was the first coordinator the team has fired during the season since the 1960s. The very first game without him, the offense broke its very long streak of not getting 400 yards. How do you not realize he was a big part of the problem?

Also, Rudolph helped them win three games. Pickett helped them win seven against a tougher part of the schedule. How do you not know that?

    blah blah blah

    chicken or the egg

do you work harder for one boss vs. another? maybe. if your boss sucks and is fired, then maybe your attitude changes and you give more effort with the new guy.

again - blame TOMLIN for being clueless in what he was doing last year - with Pickett, Canada, Trubs and not being able to evaluate Rudolph correctly.

remember - you and I are not in practice, camp, and the FO. If we were, we would (i know I would) do things differently.

Pickett had a top 10 selling jersey last year. I wish the best for KFP and hope he's our future... but there's probably a lot of people out there with jersey buyer's remorse.

I bought an AB bumble bee jersey.

Steelers need to bring in a WR that has leadership skills and and is tough.
These two morons we have now need help.
Tyler Boyd would be the perfect answer.

The receivers weren't running the routes properly and the line wasn't protecting nearly as well. Some of that was because Pickett was in there for the toughest part of the schedule. Remember, that was also the second consecutive season that the offensive line couldn't get its act together until late, which is why I am surprised the haven't replaced Meyer.

Rudolph was a primary reason they won three games, they won in large part because of him. The Steelers won seven games in large part in spite of Pickett.

Pickens and the opponent stupidly putting him in man coverage all day were the primary reasons they beat the Bengals. Harris, Warren, and a dominant performance by the offensive line were the primary reasons they beat the Seahawks. The defense was the primary reason they beat the Ravens.

Don't get me wrong. Rudolph played well in those games. He certainly did enough to elevate himself from third-stringer to a guy who should at least be the No. 2 quarterback somewhere. He earned a shot to compete for the job if he does re-sign with the Steelers, but some of the hype about his play in those three games gets out of hand.

Mason completing 18-20 passes (90%), a team record, in a driving rainstorm AND throwing a laser to DJ when the game was on the line was the primary reason they beat the Rats!

What is it with your total bias against Mason?

And by the way, why do you think the running game kicked into overdrive with Mason at QB? Defenses had to worry about getting burned over the top.
