I didn't accuse him of making light of those specific instances. I used those instances as examples to show why a Steelers fan should know better than to make light of anybody's mental illness. Please try to do a better job following along before you post next time.

Tuitt has dealt with a mental health issue, though yes, very different from the others.

Being pompous is not a mental illness. Neither is being prickly or abrasive. My tagline in no way admits to some sort of mental illness. That is one of the dumber assertions I've read on this board in a while, which is truly saying something.

Based on what I've seen of your posts, I doubt very many posters here want you speaking for them. I certainly wouldn't want that.

Bringing up mental illness the way he did is making light of it. I'm sorry you are incapable of understanding that, but giving the poor vocabulary you demonstrated by not understanding what pompous, abrasive, or prickly mean, I shouldn't be surprised.

Are you really comparing your moronic drivel to mental health issues suffered by Justin Strelczyk etc. Your problem is low IQ and lack of logic. It has nothing to do with mental health

Yes I bring up that statistics because it tells a lot over 24 games. In case you missed it, whole purpose of the offense is to score points, and if you are worst in history in that category, even an improvement will just bring you up to average. Rudolph has six years in the league, but he has less starts. He apparently improved on the bench. If you think Pickett has this great upside he can improve from the bench. As far as bringing up Brady, Warner and Purdy, It was to demonstrate that nfl front office is quite often wrong. That was in response to the repeated drone of Pickett backers that no one signed Mason during off season so he must be bad. If that logic is right, no one should sign him this year too (Steelers have already indicated they will attempt to sign him). I guess I feel compelled to point out the faulty logic. As a former CMU grad, I guess its being good at math and logical thinking in me

You were the one who wrote that I had a mental health issue. You brought it up, making light of mental health issues rather than giving them the respect they deserve.

No, I didn't compare myself to Justin Strzelzcyk or any of those others. I brought them up as examples of why you should know better than to make lame cracks about the mental health of others just because you disagree with them and they keep beating you in arguments. You really should work on your reading comprehension before you question the IQ of others.

You bring up that statistic, not that statistics. You should work on subject-verb agreement before you question the IQ of others.

Rudolph doesn't have less starts. He has fewer. You should work on your understanding of basic grammar before you question the IQ of others.

You aren't a former CMU graduate. No matter how many years ago you graduated, it still happened. You really should understand such things before you question the logical thinking of others.

By the way, that was an example of the use of repetition as a rhetorical device. You could use some tips regarding rhetoric. I threw in that one for free.

Don't even get me started on the flaws of IQ tests in measuring intelligence. I thought it was a big deal when I got a high score on an IQ test as a child, but I now realize they are biased, flawed measures that don't truly measure a person's ability. You should learn a bit about Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory.

I'm sorry the truth about Rudolph troubles you so. Maybe you should send him a letter of support. I'm sure he would be touched.

Your point regarding Brady, Purdy, and Warner isn't a bad one now that you explained it coherently. Try doing that the first time next time. Also, bringing up first-round draft busts would have been better examples of the sort of mistake you were referencing.

Three games were enough to show Rudolph is probably a decent option as a backup in the NFL, but it is silly to think that demonstrates some massive upside that was somehow invisible to the entire league after his first five seasons. I don't mind them signing him and allowing him to compete with Pickett for the job in 2024. If Pickett can't beat out a fringe quarterback like Rudolph, that is telling.

Yes, I admit my English grammar isn’t the best, because it’s my second language. I never spoke English at home growing up because my mother didn’t know English. Further, I skipped 10th grade, robbing me another year of studying English grammar. My mandatory creative writing professor in college did remark that my grammar was atrocious but my content made up for it. I am not go into the IQ debate, as it’s political but suffice to say that there is a strong correlation between success at certain kind of jobs and IQ score. I know for a fact that certain elite hedge fund gives an IQ test as part of psychometric analysis to weed out candidates. It’s not perfect and has its flaws, but there is no other test out there that does a better job of predicting success in life.

Pickett has a low Wonderlic score and probably low IQ. Low Wonderlic scores do seem to correlate with being failure as a QB. He also falls in a group with low TD to pass ratio. All those qb at the low end were failures. I bet if someone were to do an analysis, we will find that we have sufficient data points to conclude with higher than 95 percentile confidence limit that Pickett clusters with a group of QB’s that are failure in the nfl.

It's funny how you claimed that you didn't want to get into a debate about IQ, then did exactly that. Try doing what you say you are going to do next time. The IQ test isn't worthless, but it is biased toward certain parts of the population and fails to properly measure all aspects of intelligence. As even you admitted, it leads to success in some jobs, not all. That you don't think there is something better out there doesn't make it good. It focuses too much on mathematical-logical intelligence while ignoring many other aspects of intellect that affect how we process and analyze the world around us. It is no surprise to see someone who prides themselves on their mathematical skills as you do would cling so tightly to IQ as it favors your strengths. I know a well-balanced approach to measuring intelligence is more accurate because I have studied the topic. Seriously, read Gardner's work. You might learn something.

Your professor did you a disservice. Our ability to communicate with the world around us is crucial. Doing so clearly and persuasively has tremendous value in almost every field. I wouldn't say it is a reflection of raw intelligence because of situations like yours, people for whom English is their second language. It was just a way to show you that I can make ridiculous claims about your intelligence based on an aspect of what you post here, too. That said, knowing that is a weakness and not bothering to try to fix it shows a limited understanding of the value of communication skills on your part. That is not smart.

Now you are going to guess at Pickett's IQ, which is more nonsense. Intelligence tests like that are nice, but I'm sure Josh Dobbs did great on an IQ test and the Wonderlic. It still doesn't translate to the field.

Given your proven bias and desperation to defend Rudolph at all costs, I find your analysis of imaginary data to be worthless.

Surprisingly Josh Dobbs wonderlic was below than what you would expect ( 28 or 27… too lazy to look at it again). However, as mentioned before, Wonderlic seems to predict which QB might have trouble. There are very few successful QB’s with Wonderlic below 20. Above that, it’s not a linear relationship. The utility is in weeding out qb’s below a certain score. Pickett’s score is certainly below that threshold.

If he is still a FA after a week he’s probably no better off than he was last year
