How many of you have given up on Kenny Pickett already?

Nobody is claiming Pickett is great, we also need to see what he can do with a new OC.

 

I wish him the best and management is behind him. Well how this plays out.

 

A team can't count to have a Nick Foles situation at the QB position and hope for a miracle.I mean,this is very rare a average QB is on fire come playoffs time,so the steelers and every other team can't count on that.....Purdy is not elite but he is still very underrated and the 49ers have a elite coaching staff and roster and they are in the NFC where that the conference is not loaded like the AFC at the QB position.....This is not the case for the steelers

 

Everybody keeps talking about all of these elite QBs in the AFC, the only ones that have done much in the playoffs is Burrow and Mahomes.

 

Agree and Burrow hasn't won a damn thing yet.

 

Because the AFC is very hard. Just ask Josh Allen, who is .500 in the playoffs even if he is great most of the time...In the NFC, he would have likely been to the super bowl once or twice since 2020

Just looking at the AFC QBs in the divisional round each year since at least 2020, always at least 3 of his QBs are a top 5 caliber QB every years

 

We have been waiting on Josh Allen and the Bills to take that next step for the last five years, now they will probably have to make cuts because of the salary cap.

 

AFC champion in 2021 very close to beat KC again the next year

 

Less than half a touchdown per game ain’t gonna cut it. And that’s not all on Canada, that’s mostly on Pickett.

 

And his durability is a question mark.

 

Has potential but still hasn't won yet.

 

Only one team can win per year...And do you remember how many playoffs game the bengals had won in the previous 30 years before the Burrow era?

 

Really? I thought 3 teams could win. Seriously, the fact still reamins that he hasn't won yet and that's my point. He has potential but that's it.

It's ridiculous to say that he won nothing as if he accomplished nothing....The super bowl or bust thing needs to stop, it's ridiculous

Big difference being a true contender and not winning in the playoffs....I can guarantee you the seasons are much more fun when you are in the hunt than when you win nothing in the playoffs or you struggle to make the playoffs and you need help in the final week to just make the playoffs and when they make this is because of the new playoffs format in 2020 with one more team in the playoffs per conference

Basically, the 1990s Steelers were more fun than the last 5 years and the difference is huge

 

And some will whine and moan about any team decision, period, regardless of what the reality is.

 

Hey Man, got no beef with you, I commented to Steelersrule6's post about elite QBs in the AFC. Only 1 has won SBs but I stated that Burrow has potential. I've been a Steelers Fan since the 70s, so I know a little something about playoff struggles.

At least 5-6 QB in the AFC has big potential or are already elite in the AFC....The Steelers are not one of his teams right now and as long as they are going to have this problem at the QB position, it will take a miracle to just win a playoff game.Mahomes,Allen and Burrow are 10-3 combined in their career vs steelers and QB like Herbert and Stroud dominated the Steelers defense like crazy in their only matchup vs Steelers in their career....Better hope that Lamar Jackson doesn't start winning against the Steelers, it's going to be even harder.

Pickett has that stupid haircut and that ultimate dumbass look on his face to go with his shat play.

 

I'm not objecting to seeing what he can do with a new OC; I've never objected to it. I AM, however, against the overly slow, too-patient version of finding out the reality of what Kenny is and can bring to the team. Do we really need a FULL 3rd YEAR of discovery on the guy? If he is he same:

1.) Lock on the one primary receiver.
2.) Get happy feet even when there isn't impending pressure at his feet.
3.) Not seeing wide open targets on too many plays.
4.) Fragile, China doll durability.
5.) Throwing wildly inaccurate passes when he does locate an open receiver.

Well, I don't need to see an entire season of that to determine he is not the guy for this team. Art and Tomlin tend to take too long to figure out players/coaches inabilities. Moore is still the listed LT? Are YOU SERIOUS? It took them almost THREE entire years to figure out that Canada sucked....3 years. Is it gonna take THREE years to figure if Kenny sucks? Do better, Art. You must.
