100% No thanks. I can't see the Steelers wasting time with a declining older QB.

-110 is ridiculous. Is there anywhere I can bet this doesn't happen?

Maybe I don't understand the odds, but isn\t that like even money. -110. If it is I wouldn't mind putting down some money on the Steelers NOT signing Wilson. Anyone know how to do that?

We're also currently the favorites to sign/trade for Garapolo, Fields, Mayfield, Minshew, Bridgewater, and Dan Marino. Oh, and to trade 3 firsts, two seconds, and TJ Watt to move to #3 and draft a qb.

And last week the Steelers were the favorite to land Justin Fields, next week they will be the favorite to land a different QB .

I guess the oddsmakers aren’t fans of KFP, and think that the Steelers brass quietly agrees with them.

IMO they F'ed up. I do think Dan Marino miss was in their heads a little.

More then a few members think Kenny is a mistake. It would be awesome for us all to be proven wrong.

You know the talking heads will have run out of BS when they say the Steelers are in contact with Tom Brady to come out of retirement:) I did see one BS article about Ben R.

I just don't see this being a good fit for the Steelers. He was very good in the past, but it's not what the Steelers need right now.

Behind the Steel Curtain yesterday had articles on Fields, Garapolo, and Wilson on the front page. Three different sources, three different qbs. To me that means none of this is going to happen.

    I think what happens is.
Steelers try to re-sign Mason Rudolph.
If he mets no other suitors on open Market.
They level with him and say we are giving Kenny Pickett one more chance at this thing.
If he struggles its gonna be your show, and you will be QB #2
If Mason goes else where I see a Ryan Tannehill, Jacoby Brisett type guy being #2 on a 2 year deal.

If an outsider comes in other than that it will be because one of the QB's in the 1st round falls to mid teens picks and the Steelers try to move up and take him because they can't resist.

i would do it. (IF we are not going 3 or 4 other better routes)

get him for vet minimum. (and he would LOVE the running game, Pickens - find him another WR after we trade Diontae)

gets ~$30 mil from DEN, BETTER than what we have.

VETERAN team, maybe he can win for a year or 2 hear

in case some of you might care, I am interested in winning.......Kenny can't get us there.

fields, wilson, garrapalo, cousins, pickett, rudolph, mayfield and tannehill. sounds like a pretty full qb room but hey all we need is a non losing season. we should be able to get one with this group. everyone win at least one game and we are almost there.:smiley1::cool:

I'm not in the Russell Wilson fan club but he is better than anything the steelers have on the roster right now IMO. But for $39M that would be a big mistake. How much of his salary does Denver eat and how much would the gaining team take on?

Sure let's go with a 5 QB rotation like the major leagues do with pitchers. It could revolutionize football.

YES!!!! This is a Must do!!!

    Here’s why —-

    1) He is a Vet, and a good one. The game isn’t too big for him. Proven leader.

    2) Cheap!!! Virtually vet min because Denver still pays his massive contract .

    3) With a new OC and improved offense and run game, the RPO and Wilson would be a perfect match PLUS he’d be the Mentor Kenny never had !!

    4) After a year or so let him go into FA, we’ll get a decent comp pick and Kenny should be able to take hold of the reigns !!

It may have been in their heads, from what I have read (can't prove it one way or another) Dan R. said something along that thought when the argument of who to take when Ben was available. Now KP is not Ben, but getting your mind F'ed with when a mistake has been made can be a problem. I also caution to think of the many mistakes made with the numerous aging and/or 'give 'em' another chance bums' they brought in over the years. If they sign Russell to a 'stick it to the Broncos" contract (He is going to get that money anyway, why take our own CAP space?), and he understands they still want KP to at least get the chance to succeed..then yea Russ come on in and let's talk. I don't think Russ is ready to be a back up and really do not want the drama it may bring.

If they release him they eat it all. there is a portion of any new contract with a new team then can deduct from the CAP hit...that of course will affect the new team. WTF would you trade FOR that contract? If they release him then you have negotiating power, it you take the contract you are stuck with it, as he refused to renegotiate it with the Broncs (Don't blame him, just saying)
