The problem is that sounds a lot like "all you need is an elite QB".
Quite a few suggestions mention weakening the rest of the roster, for a (not guaranteed) chance at an elite QB.
Giving away the draft or overspending for a FA QB is very likely to be a disaster.

The history of the Patriots and the Chiefs suggests they needed an elite QB AND a great defense.
NE 2014 defense rank (in points) 8
    NE 2016 defense rank 1
    NE 2018 defense rank 7
    KC 2019 defense rank 7
    KC 2023 defense rank 2

The outlier would be the 2022 KC team, where their defense was mediocre but they had the #1 offense.
    But that is an outlier.
NE or KC having the top offense didn't guarantee a trip to the SB (NE 2012, KC 2018).

You don't NEED an elite defense, but you NEED an elite QB. You also can't have a bad defense though.

So if you have the elite QB, which is necessary.....you can have a really good defense and win a championship.

Meh. I've never understood that mentality. For every good card that was supposed to be "yours" you'll end up with a "bad" player taking a bad card and you ending up with a good one. The odds always remain the same provided you play properly. So if the odds are always the same, how can anyone ruin a table?

If you're that serious about blackjack, you should be counting cards

Have you ever walked away to find a different table to play? I have. Some players make it less ‘fun’ than others. I don’t care if other players share my strategy or how they play their cards. Some players are just idiots and make a table struggle to enjoy. I think some are obnoxious on purpose just to get players off their game. Some seem to like annoying the dealers. Some have an entourage hanging out not playing but telling everyone else at the table how they should play each hand. Idiots.

I've played a lot of cards over the years. I've spent a lot of time in Vegas. I've never experienced what you described. The only players that annoy me are the ones who want everyone to follow the script exactly, and if you don't they get pissy.

For example, sometimes I split my face cards. If the dealer has a 6, I will split my face cards. I know it technically worsens my odds, but I've always done it. I've had people get annoyed by that because I'm taking their card. I have no time for those people. Other than that, I guess I've been lucky. No issues at any tables.

IF Art II is impatient, his actions do not match his words. To extend Tomlin is tomfoolery. We have enough evidence to move on.

Regarding Smith, I hope we are wrong too. Not sure yet what to think of him. He took over as OC for the Titans and they become fairly productive for a couple of years.

Art should go big this off-season. Make the move and take the chance on a bigger FA QB.

If not, then certainly go hard after Mason - the TEAM likes him - watch him beat out Kenny for the #1 job, draft another QB and we will see how things pan out for 2024 and beyond.

Overtaking the Bengals and Ravens (if / with healthy QB's) will remain a challenge.

the 2nd 4th down, i don't think he will ever live down. it will be his legacy, if they never back to a NFCCG, which will be sad, as I was rooting for Campbell, but was screaming to KICK THE FG at that moment.

    I agree.

I play by my gut. I don't follow the book on how to play all the time. I try to play trends in the cards, so if 10 face cards come out of the deck in the last 15 or so, I may adjust how much weight goes into taking a hit on 16 or 17.

Listening to some idiot making comments to others about how they are playing literally makes me want to punch them in the face. Luckily, I've never had anyone say anything to me personally, but I've been at the table when others took some $hit. I've seen a guy try to bully women that he thinks are messing up his blackjack chi by making comments, rolling the eyes, and all the outward gestures and sounds that make you want to hit him with a chair. I've told people to worry about their own cards or to move to another table if they have a problem and the dealer doesn't handle it.

It's supposed to be fun. People like that ruin the whole experience.

He might if the same swill happens. But I feel we will have to wait 3 more seasons when he steps down and his son takes over Tomlin will be gone and a new regime will take over.

They are not going to make a splash and sign a high priced or trade for a QB. Pickett will get the nod and hope that he excels and doesn't fall off the ledge.

Well we haven’t won a playoff game since the early Pleistocene so someone in the organization is behind the times. (Looking at you Mike)
