Brice said it was a wasted pick

Some other guy made a similar but true statement

I agree that Rudolph is the better option, but I can absolutely see Tannehill having to settle for a number in that range. He is 35 and his play has dropped off significantly since he got that last contract.

    THIS!

Yes, ALL 7th round picks are wasted picks...until they aren't. You use that pick on a lottery ticket EVERY YEAR. Pick the position you are most in need of a "pleasant surprise" youth injection and draft the messy fundamental, but highly athletic or highly fundamental and lacking measurables and let it ride. Until we have a franchise QB, I'd be fine if they drafted a QB in round 6 or 7 EVERY year the next 10 years. One MAY hit and its not like drafting a 7th round DT or ILB is any more likely to hit.

I suggested something similar to this a few years ago and I got chased by torches and pitch forks

I thought those other people said late round picks were not worth it.

I hope it wasn't me, but attitude can change with predicament. I didn't see an acceptable QB situation a few years ago, nor did I forsee Matt Canada and his long run of unwatchable offensive (literal and figurative) football.
