He was the starting QB in Tennessee. If he comes here he knows it will be as a BU. At least to start the season anyway.

LOL.. I wonder if San Francisco would agree with you?

You are going to do what? A QB in the 7th round with the last pick of the draft... What a wasted pick that is going to be. :)

And we all know about that guy that came out of the 6th round.... Wasted Pick????

I mean statically the odds of late round picks panning out are low but as you have stated not impossible. I wonder what round we should look at a QB?

So your logic is based on 2 exceptions and not 40 years of actual facts

Yep…for every Brock Purdy, there are a thousand Chris Oladokuns.

For every Tom Brady, there are a thousand Tee Martins.

All I'm getting at is if everyone is looking for a Qb that can run around....You maybe able to get a good pocket passer in a later round . Kind of like when there was only one , or two 3-4 defenses in the league, and We would be able to get all these tweener types to play LB for us in late rounds. Remember those days.

I'm not sure that is true. It was clear they were moving on from Trubisky once they went to Rudolph last season.

Rudolph is a better option than what is left of Tannehill, but I'm not sure why you think Tannehill is going to get big money now just because he got it in his last contract. He was 31 years old and coming off an outstanding 2019 season when he got that four-year deal from the Titans. Now he is 35 and coming off a season in which he threw more interceptions than touchdowns and lost his job to a rookie. Maybe he is dumb enough to still think he should get paid, but I doubt it.

What does that mean. Besides a Kicker or Punter, do you know a position you can draft in the 6th or 7th round that has a better chance of making the team.

Your statement of taking a QB in the 6th or 7th round is a complete waste of a pick, and I say drafting in the 6th or 7th round is generally a camp body and nothing else.

Spotrace has Tannehill's value at $4.9 million per season, on only a 1 year dead.

Right now I think the Steelers could easily afford both Ryan Tannehill and Mason Rudolph on a $5 million deal per year. Although, I would think Mason is looking for a 3 year deal like Mitch received last year: 3 years $33 million.(Includes 14 million in incentives)

    30 million to 5 million, I don't see it

Rudolph is the better option, he gets a raise which he deserves, and it will be a better deal than signing Tannehill, the been in the system stuff is overrated, I choose Rudolph over Tannehill even under the most imaginative contract discounts for Tannehill

And, that may be the reason why Tannehill retires then. He has made over $200 million in his career, does he really want to get out of bed for only $5 million for an entire season of play?

Oh, bullsh1t. Here's the Steelers sign Trubisky thread. First, there are many others who had doubts on the signing. Second, your 'stuff' seems to come more from family (Canada @LSU), Trubisky @Chicago) than your own analysis. Third, nobody 'hated' on you for your opinion (Analyst98 was a troll).

How could it not be true? There comes a point where he may have had enough. He is in control of the situation right now. We will see what happens

Drafting a QB late is a wasted pick, LOL!!! Tom Brady 199, Brock Purdy 262, Roger Staubach 129, Bart Star 199, Joe Theisman 99, Brad Johnson 227, Russell Wilson 75, Dak Prescott 135, Kirk Cousins 102, and Johnny Unitas 102. There are more if you want to look them up.
