Yeah, years ago that part of town was predominantly Vietnamese. Now, there are a lot of Thais, Japanese, Philippines, Koreans..........

    Love Kimchi
I love eating it around people who don't know what it is more.

Haha. I imagine a lot of humans died trying new things to eat. I was always surprised the Wildebeest had such large numbers. Then it dawned on me they must only taste good to crocs and lions because if humans liked the taste the herds would be really thin.

Must be the off season. A thread about Steelers being as good as KC has turned into the food network.

Yeah, for the better. OP was lame.

How would you feel if TJ Watt dated a famous chef and they had a show during training camp featuring the team and recipes?

I have someone who works for me who is originally from a Philly burb, and he and his family seem to live and die with both the Sixers and Phillies.

Determining the quality of Chinese food based on what’s served at a typical Chinese buffet is like buying a microwave cheeseburger at a gas station and saying all cheeseburgers suck. I have yet to find a Chinese buffet that produces anything vaguely resembling authentic, quality Chinese cooking.

There’s a place in central CT that does real Peking Duck. It’s popular enough that they pre-prep enough every day to fill a bunch of orders, but if you go too late they will run out. So we didn’t have to pre-order, but you run the risk of it being out for the day if you count on it being available. We did it a few months back and it was terrific. They served it in two courses. First the waiter briefly brought the whole duck out of the kitchen sizzling to show us and get our appetite stoked, then brought it back into the kitchen to prep for serving. The first course was shredded duck served with scallions and hoisin sauce on thin “pancakes.” The second was stir fried with veggies, with the crisp roasted legs and wings served on the side. Frickin great.

I’m getting my Connecticut map out

On a serious note I did business in Toronto and stayed at a hotel on the edge of their Chinatown

Right down the street from me was a small restaurant with steamed up windows and duck and pork hanging in the window and the wok they cooked in

They didn’t speak English and didn’t have an English menu it wasn’t meant for tourists and Englishmen it was perfect

I would go in late at night walk up to the cooking area and point at the meat I wanted point at other stuff throw my hands up in the air like I was stir frying it and eventually my dinner would show up

Sometimes it even looked like what I thought I was ordering sometimes not so much but it was always good

There is a Laos, and Thai duck dish called LabLuh(I guess that's how You spell it...LoL) it is a raw meat salad type of dish(also made from beef sometimes) that is very delicious, but that they don't serve in restaurants because of restaurant codes in America.

Wow, I've lived among their fans for 48 years and 99% are all about Eagles, Phillies and Flyers. They hate Sidney Crosby with a passion. And I proudly wore my Crosby shirt those prime years. They have been underground for years but I kid you not when I say I'm seeing 20-30 guys and gals in Flyers gear daily and I live in Jersey.

Not the same but 50 years ago I frequented a bar in Pittsburgh that sold cannibal sandwiches

They weren’t on the menu either but lots of people were eating them

Note they were raw beef and not raw people

I was at a Blue Jackets Pens game about 5 years ago in Columbus and there was a crowd of people in a circle taking turns kicking a Sidney Crosby doll

Oof.. I eat raw fish all the time, but I’m definitely not up for the risk of eating raw poultry. I had food poisoning a few months ago, and it sucked.

They say the herbs in it kills all bad bacteria. I don't know if it's true, but I have never gotten sick from eating it.

Ducks are raised differently than chickens majority of the time. The conditions are what breeds the salmonella and we've all seen some of these coops ugh.
Duck taste a lot better medium rare . I can't remember ever having raw duck. FRog Grass.confeet, pate, lol love that .

All the ducks that I've eaten that way were all wild, and yes I agree on what You say about the conditions.
