The problem with two incomplete tight ends like that is it makes the offense far more predictable. Kittle is an excellent blocker. Kelce is good at it. That makes the defense's job so much more difficult.

Maybe I missed the plays, but I don't recall really using Washington or even giving him the chance to just put the ball up there and let him get it on those third and shorts or inside the red zone situations. Drove me crazy going to D.J. on a low percentage 30 yard sideline grab on third and 3 when you got a 6'7" guy who could very likely get you an easy 4 yards to pick up the first.

It's not that easy if he can't run routes well and they don't trust him to catch the ball.

 

Barring some sort of miracle in the QB room, we're likely to see another redux of the seasons we've been used to, wild card game and done. We might technically be better next year, but it's not likely to be enough to navigate through the AFC minefield even as far as the AFC title game.

One bright spot is we probably did as well anyone in the draft.

None of that matters if the Qbs don't throw them the ball....go look at the all 22 many time they were open, and they just didn't get the ball, or You can believe like some that the OC, or HC was telling them not to throw it there. LoL

 

The last 8 games are right on par with his first two seasons with 29 catches equating to a season over 60 catches
