LoL. I agree, but I honestly think that's what Mason could give You. I believe He's a 30 td- 10 int type Qb . In 13 starts he has 19 tds, and 11 ints....3 of those games he didn't know He was going to start to the last min....so no real running with the 1st team all week.

I half agree with you. Purdy a better all around qb than Mason.

How would we know. One has played ....I think some think Mason is like 30 years old, and has played for years. The man has had 13 starts, and His 1st season starting He didn't even have a true Qb coach. We didn't bring in one till the next year.

    you are nuts

i can name at least 14 that can win it all next year - at least, they have their DUDE

    Bills
    Ravens
    Dolphins
    Packers
Cowboys (cursed with playoff losses, but don't need a 'dude')
    of course, SF and KC
    Cincy
    maybe CLE
    HOU
    Jags
    Eagles
    Det
    Rams

some here are just plain dull - wake up man, wake up

If we had ANY of those 12 QB's, we'd have a SHOT to get back to the SB, except that we still have Tomlin

Well in that case that gives me more hope because I see us building a similar offense to them.

Keep hearing that from the SF faithful I know, however Shanahan ran it 31x in that game. 31 runs to 39 passes is excellent balance. The Chiefs front simply held them to 3.5 yards per. At that point it's on the QB.

Basically we heard how great the SF defense was all year but in the playoffs they got rolled by Detroit and couldn't get the stops vs KC. But SF's ground game gave up 4.3 yards per thanks in large part to the QB.

Difference in these two teams was QB. Coaching you can fault here and there but most of it was a Hall of Fame QB vs a low talent QB playing in his first Super Bowl. And given that I think the coaches deserve credit for getting there with him and almost winning it. But bottom line is they came up short as per usual due to QB as per usual.
