Better Free Agent pickup for the Steelers in 2024: Mason Rudolph or Ryan Tannehill?

I’ve said repeatedly that the only defense I give of Canada is that he was saddled with inept qb play that missed open receivers every game and we never saw his offense executed at a truly competent level. You can’t deal with that fact so you want to deflect to Canada’s time with LSU. I’m not entertaining that.

I never called everyone who wanted Canada gone a sheep. So this is just another lie that you’re telling. Here’s all I said.

I didn’t come out against fans calling out bad behavior. I questioned why fans would seek to assassinate the character of players on the team they root for. I spoke in plain English, not sure why you’ve failed to comprehend.

You’ve given no examples of things that I’ve said that are wrong. Your isolated examples of those guys making mistakes doesn’t justify saying they have a history of selfish behavior.

At Steelers Fever, I would simply post a gif of a red flashing light when someone was having a bit of a meltdown.



The other method of making light of the situation would be to post pictures of a DEFCON board. As the situation heated up, the number on the board would change. When it hit DEFCON 1, it was over! I can't find the pictures I used to use, but this is the idea.

This goes back to them being selfish and immature. People like that tend to be shortsighted and they certainly don't know more about it than the front office and head coach, who saw that Canada needed to go. Remember how out of character it is for the Steelers to fire a coordinator during a season. They hadn't done it since the bad old days when the Steelers were a joke, before Dan Rooney took over the day-to-day operations and they hired Chuck Noll. I'm not saying it is all on Canada, but it is certainly fair to drop a big chunk of the blame on his doorstep.

Put the play Johnson showed his selfishness and immaturity in full context. The play before, Pickett had thrown a touchdown pass to him. The offense was looking good. Johnson opened the door for the officials to blow the call by letting the ball come loose late. It was still a bad call, but it was his fault, too. Instead of taking responsibility and trying hard to do something positive on the next play, he stood there and pouted. That's not on Pickett. That's on Johnson.

What I find funny is how some of the same people that think a guy like DJ is immature and just needs a chance to grow up and gain some perspective on how to be a better teammate and player also think Kenny Pickett sucks ass and will never get even the slightest bit better because he is 25 already playing the most difficult position in all of sports!

Ok, OK, OK, What the hell is going on with Kirk Cousins Market Value. I am seeing estimated new contract of 3 years for $120 million as his 2024 estimate.

Cousins is 35 and coming off an ACL injury. And is still being forecast at $40 million per year? (39.3)
Ryan Tannehill has a Market Value under $5 million per year. (4.9)
And there is no Market Value on Mason Rudolph.

Cousins and Tannehill are the same age at 35, both players were injured in 2023, but why did Cousins value hold, and Tannehill's value drop through the floor? In 2023 Tannehill was set down for a high ankle sprain, and Cousins set down for a torn ACL.
