It was his first game riding the bench, how much do you guys think he learned? Rudolph spent years riding the bench, not exactly apples to apples in regards to what you can soak in.

    It was a bs question.

Kaboly just likes to spew stupid:poopy: out his mouth. I can say it too WOW STEELERS WILL KEEP Mitch the pick. Pay him a high salary to suck. Even though we need salary cap space. But sure 1 loser is good as another, why not.

2 QB's. do I hear 3? There were some very good BU performances this year, there were some who gave a good game or 2, but relying on 2 rookie QBs as back up is beyond foolish, especially with the holes we need to fill and depth we need to develop. Sure if a QB is on your draft board, drops and it seems like he is BPA then QB is one of those holes, but drafting a sub-optimal skilled QB in any round is pretty silly, why not bring Duck back? They will set their board and Omar and Andy will stoke the coals. Omar will get the CAP situation to a place he can work his skills, we are not in a place to waste draft picks, some may not pan out, but you still build your team not play Madden hoping some unproven, unskilled guy comes in to save the franchise.

    Normally I would say never

But fans chanting to fire Canada at games (even ones that weren’t Steeler games) and the players starting to mutiny certainly had a part in Canada getting fired rather than just letting his contract run out

Wel that would be a waste of two draft picks

Not the same situation. Cause and effect, no one is making any noise now. Zero chance they are going to fill out their roster based on what fans want. What are fans going to do after the fact? Stomp their feet on social media if they don’t sign Rudolph?

rudolph won't get much interest and will re-sign with steelers for 1-yr, $3.5 million, I predict.

I think he will command more, but wouldn't mind seeing an incentive laden contract comparable to Baker Mayfield, with something like that as a base. Reward performance.

It was a bs answer too. I understand his pride may have been a little hurt, but Pickett’s done nothing to be the presumptive QB1 and he came across as if he were copping that kind of attitude. Kenny is not Ben and hasn’t earned himself the right to be the unquestioned starting quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He needs to be learning in every situation he finds himself in at this point in his career. On the bench, on the field in the film room on the toilet for crying out loud. That answer coupled with his remark a few days later in which he said that if the coaches and trainers thought he was healthy enough he’d be starting and he’d be playing were not good looks for Kenny. They came across as petty and presumptuous. He could learn a thing or two from Mason who sat on the bench LEARNING for two and a half years.

Who better to help KP learn the Arthur Smith offense than Ryan Tannehill?

Kenny is most definitely NOT Ben and is still at the point in his career where he should be trying to learn something from any situation he finds himself in. His answer to that question and his comment a few days later when he said had he been deemed healthy he would have been starting and playing came across as petty and presumptuous.

When Tomlin says Kenny is QB1, it's between him and Mitch. Kenny has been QB1 over Mitch for over a year now. Mitch will never be QB1 over a healthy Kenny again. What we need now is a new veteran backup and a new rookie QB from this draft to upgrade the QB room.

Ben started and had monumental success as a rookie. He played in 3 SuperBowls in his career. Don't use Ben as the norm.

I would say MR has done more than KP to earn the starting spot and I bet most of his teammates would agree

nonetheless KP deserves the right to earn the starting spot back during training camp/pre season - hope it’s an honest competition this time

Nah, was a deserved answer to a dick question. Don’t know how these guys hold their tongue as much as they do with some of the questions they get. I guess the secrets of the universe were unlocked in that one game on the bench

Pickett has been an utmost professional his entire time here and you want to roast him for one salty answer. Give me a break.

He has been mostly professional with his interactions with the press, but he had a bad little stretch after he was benched for Rudolph. I know his pride was hurting so I can understand it to a degree. He’s a competitor, but a little humility goes a long way. He’ll have a chance to redeem himself and get back on the field. We’ll see how that works out. In the meantime, he’s got a lot of learning to do.
