    I don't understand this. As a football fan, I will always watch the Superbowl no matter who is in it. I don't care if the Ravens are somehow playing against themselves, it's the greatest sporting event on earth, I'm watching and every true football fan should be watching as well.

    LOL, well then I guess Im not a TRUE football fan. Thanks for letting me know. :rolleyes: The good news for me, is that anyone who KNOWS me, knows that I am a "true fan".

    I never said you're not a true fan, I said every true fan should be watching regardless of who is in the Superbowl. Nowhere did I say people who don't watch aren't true fans. The SB is still the greatest sporting event on earth

    I am really on the fence! No way I want the cheatriots or ravens in the SB. I also don't want SF getting #6 tying us, but GF is a diehard 49er fan. So I have to secretly root for the Falcons, while sit and cheer with her for the 49ers. augh!

    Well, you might not have intended it that way but that's exactly what it means, it's implying anyone who isn't watching isn't a true fan. I always watch, I'd hate that match up because I'd hate either team winning but I can see why FTB took exception to what you wrote.

    Of course, saying the SB is the greatest sporting event is a matter of opinion. Personally, I feel it's more entertainment/media hype, then the best sporting event. With the SB, we spend more time watching lame commercials and over-extended half time shows, than the actual FB game.

    In order of preferred match-up:

    1. Falcons - Ravens (preferred winner: Falcons)
    2. 49ers - Ravens (preferred winner: Ravens)
    3. Falcons - Patriots (preferred winner: Falcons)
    4. 49ers - Patriots (preferred winner: 49ers)...not sure I could stomach watching this game

    I would agree if most of the sports weren't judged. Not to mention that so many of them appear to be fixed, and it's been proven in the past that judges have fixed the sports. There's way too many controversial decisions.

    Personally, I think Curling is wicked exciting, nothing better. Maybe Cricket, but Curling keeps me on the edge of my seat, love me some Curling.

    Can't comment on the fixing but it doesn't diminish what these athletes do, the skills they display are amazing, truly an enjoyable thing to watch.

    Hey guy's, settle down we all know that sometimes you put something in print that looks one way but it's not truly what the person was trying to explain. That's why I hate e-mails face to face when you can see a person is always the best ,so because we don't have that, there has to be some give and take. We are all Steelers fans,football fans or we would not take the time to be on this board.Chill
