That wasn't the only reason he was benched regardless of the comments from the team. He sucked. It was no coincidence that the running game took off as soon as they benched him.

Okorafor isn't strong enough or aggressive enough at the point of attack. His man stands him up or pushes him backward too often. I have a hard time blaming that on coaching.

That’s from someone that was in the locker room and witnessed his apology to the team. That isn’t from the team. Thanks for playing though. You can look up the date for when he got benched and then start sorting through DK’s daily shots around the same time for confirmation

Hmm, Steelers Oline coach Williams coaching at Senior Bowl. :hmm:
The big OKC tackle Guyton, Haynes, Glaze, Foster etc…

Adding to the picture here. Our new OC was an Oline man and coach. Combine that with khan bringing Weidl in. Think we’re starting to see the picture here for upcoming drafts n I like it.

For what it’s worth 100% of Anderson’s snaps were at Tackle

    Both of them

They will fill some of those holes in free agency, and they have two 4th round picks.

    Yippie

That gives us about a 30% chance of getting a player who may some day start

Not a bad pick up that draft. Needs to improve his hand technique in pass protection, especially right at the snap, but he's one of our best run blockers. Really seals his side of the line consistently on run plays especially the latter part of the season.

He's a 4th round pick that started as a rookie, you were dismissing picks in that round.

While i'd love another stud CB to pair with JPJ, I'd also like to draft our RT and C in this draft 1 and 2. With Weidl being a huge proponent of building through the lines, and Arthur Smith being big on running the ball, and all the attention the Centers are getting from the Steelers I bet we go this route... We draft Center Jackson Powers-Johnson from Oregon at 20, then we could draft an OT in round 2, as there are more quality OTs this draft, but they tend to go off the board quicker. There is 2 quality centers coming out in Oregan's Powers-Johnson and WVU Zach Frazier then a drop off. If that doesn't happen, we draft Amarius Mims, have 2 young bookend tackles for years and hope Zach Frazier falls to us in 2nd round. W could keep Dan Moore one more year, keep Broderick at Right Tackle, draft the top center in Powers-Johnson and go a different route in 2nd round...CB, Safety, or MLB which are all big needs.

we need a corner for sure. whether it's through the draft or otherwise. ILB will need to be addressed somehow. at one time we had the best o-line in football, the top running back, the top wr, and a franchise qb and we won nothing. we need to add on the defensive side as well. i'm all for big uglies but maybe our best bet is to pick them up in free agency. the positions we need tend to take a little time to get on the field. cb, ilb, c, ot. i'd like to strike while the iron is hot. weidl and omar have a juggling act to sift through this year. this should be fun to watch.

I don't trust anything from DK. I refuse to give that fraud a single click. Do some research into the way he treated has treated people on his staff.

I never disputed that running his mouth was part of the issue, but if you don't think his poor play was a factor, you haven't been paying attention. Look at the crap Pickens pulled this past season. He deserved to be benched, but he is too good to sit. The same isn't true of Okorafor.

    Nice try. Thanks for playing.

couple of free agent for steelers
Taylor Lewan 3 time pro bowler. Played in Smith offense and veteran who could help teach our lineman
George Fant plays both left and right side, swing tackle

So I guess the silly question is, why is he still a steeler coach and why does the Sr Bowl have to stoop to the level of a guy one of the worst OL rankings to coach? Maybe that should have been in green, but honestly I thought the moves this off season were to move forward, not stay the course.

Both articles you posted are based on the same comment by Fittipaldo. Why not just cite him? Maybe it's a paywall issue, but I thought I should point out that the two anonymous guys you linked took their information from the same journalist.

It's worth noting that Anderson is a contender to start somewhere in 2024, but I certainly wouldn't bank on it. The Steelers need to add a center and a tackle, maybe one from free agency and the other in the draft.

I really love that they are finally doing this right. Weidl was a great hire. I'm completely good with giving KP one more year while Khan and his team fix the Lines and add more depth all over. Colbert's final years were truly terrible, drafting RBs, TEs, QBs while having no OL to protect them. To say nothing of [someone] hiring, and retaining, a complete moron for OC. I'd wager the roster will look pretty good this year and if KP fails, there are no excuses and we'll go QB hunting in 2025, but we'll actually be ready to support one.

Moore should be played "less." He's on the bottom of LT ranking across the board, on virtually every list, bottom.
