An offensive Coordinator goes a long way, especially if the chemistry is there with the HC and GM.
I heard some commentary yesterday that was wrong. Of course it's a sports show.
Yes, they fired Canada, and his offense was still in use.
But it was stripped of the nonsense plays, the weird timing/sequence of calling them.
And what was left was adjusted for players and fitted into a better sequence.
It was a distilled Canada offense. The best of.

No excuse for Kenny. He has to step up. They are dedicated to finding the best OC to see that happens.

Mr Rooney also pointed out: "Mason has been here 6 years, we knew what we had. He performed above expectations."
This means they knew why they didn't offer him a contract and then buried him on 3rd team.
What they failed at was evaluating Mitch. Mason is an easy upgrade there. Mitch should have never been #1 or #2.

Right, but generally people of certain professions display certain attributes. It’s not something you turn on and off. In this instance he makes a fair amount of comments that don’t jibe with his apparent profession

you used the name Tannehill, so it did - it involved a quarterback.

a player that has to make plays. the OC does not throw passes.

    Kenny stinks so far.

If I were Rooney, I’d think long and hard before I broke the bank for Tomlin in light of his post-season failures.

Rooney sounds like he is getting impatient ... I wonder if the comment about Mike finding his own OC is putting all the onus on Mike to shape up or ship out.

Geez. There is no way in Haiti that is the case! Five years down the road he could be a top 7 or 8 QB. Experience and maturity matter! Look at Mason. Look at what Jared Goff and Jordan Love have accomplished. The QB's are few in number that come in and excel quickly.

Yep we all said that once they kept Canada and then on top not canning him at the bye. Canning him last year was the call, get a new OC and then you could see if pickett is the answer but I think they convinced themselves he already was and just perhaps the history of Pittsburgh not wanting to pay anyone for sitting on the couch. But they won the battle and perhaps lost the war with that approach. Saved a few nickels but now are in a mess perhaps having to go another year and find out Pickett isn't the man. For the Steelers sake I hope Pickett bounces back big but I think it gets worse before it gets better as KP will try to do too much and that often leads to INT's and other mistakes.

and 5 years down the road, he could be bagging groceries - what is your point?

he was not highly touted coming out of college and many are seeing why.

So the Chargers just gave Jim Harbaugh 16 million per year. What will Tomlin be asking for in his next contract?

DJ18 the Lords pray is in Mathew chp. 17 what we often call the lords prayer in Matew 6 is how we are supposed to pray not what the Lord prayed . p.s. we also leave off part of His instructions cause we do not want to hear it, so pastors leave it off. if you have a red letter Bible check it out.

Amen! There was absolutely nothing wrong with what you posted pastorbob. Not sure what in the world they’re driving at. Given some of the inappropriate, irreverent and provocative comments posted on this board (including by some who are criticizing you) your comments were tame. Don’t worry about it, brother.

It’s not so much what people say it’s how they say it

I almost walked out of my niece's wedding because of the pastor

Not that what he was saying was wrong he was just an ******* saying it

But then again it wasn’t what I would call a reputable church with a reputable pastor

So I guess you get what you pay for

It was in west Texas he pulled out a six shooter and he told the groom he wanted him to convert on the spot to the “religion” he was spewing

I’d have told him to go **** himself
