What you posted in one of your previous posts was exactly
what I was looking for. Can't please everybody, I will try to
Figure this out. I am stumped as of right now. I expected so much more.
Whoops I got the wrong guy, it was Steel hammer 92 that I thought hit the nail on the head.

I’m not stumped. Perfect fit for the current makeup of the team.

Stumped by what? He has experience. He was quite successful. Apparently he’s quite innovative with personnel groupings and route concepts that provide yac. I would bet several of you would have made the exact same ***** and complain post no matter who was hired.

I can hope that he can work with young QB's and I can hope
that we have receivers running freely and our route trees are innovative.
And he can call a good game. I hope his offense puts our players in a position to
succeed to the best of their ability.

Everyone appears to be “whelmed” with this hire. Important to note that his offenses did score albeit mainly off the legs of one Derrick Henry. Still, he sure did use him n Brown to build an offense around that took them to a championship, I believe. And they did build a pass game off of it too.He has Najee n Warren to build off of and that’s his forte’.

Fear not Steelers fans if nothing else we still have the love n adoration of Rich Eisen, he loves this hire.

Ryan tannehill threw for 33 touchdowns in a season. That’s not mainly off the legs of Henry.

I'll wait and see, but not fan of a run first offense. I don't care what anyone says, you win in the NFL by throwing the ball. If he brings more play action, I'm all for that.

And if that seems contradictory, it's not at all. The myth that you have to run well first before play action is effective is just that, a myth.

I thought all the forum experts claimed Canada's system was pee wee stuff. I don't think it gets anymore simple then that.

Yes I remember, but it was off the legs of Henry. Once that run threat was established, and Derrick frickn Henry was the one to do it, Tannehill Brown.

They did indeed have both a run n pass game though, you’re right. I’m too lazy to look it up but I believe they might have been a top 5 offense in both run AND PASS.

He was very solid in Tennessee I’m optimistic on the hiring if MT stays out of it.

Isn't he the guy that cussed out Dennis Allen when the saints didn't take a knee at the end of the game? The way he came at Dennis Allen, deserved a rap in the mouth.

I'll reserve judgment on his OC capabilities until we actually see something. Seems like an upgrade from Tomlin's last OC hire.

I had no choice but to see plenty, living here in ATL. I'm not intrigued by the hire because he had many weapons here. Many fans blame th QBs play but from what I saw, play calling was also an issue.

I'm good with the hire. One thing to have concepts and schemes to drill into the players, quite another to manage a game with those concepts, to which the latter is far more important. Opposing defenses are going to scheme for your tendencies, the most important thing is to adjust in game to those schemes. Look at the Dolphins, a team with innovative and explosive concepts, last two games of the season and how teams, especially the Bills in the second half adjusted and neutralized there high powered offense.
