Carpenter or kubiak sound like a couple of proven choices.

True, but I think the combination of Najee and Jaylen would be very appealing to an OC who is run oriented.

Both of the Steelers RBs this season had over 1,000 yards from scrimmage, the only other team to do that this season was Detroit.

Some guys are better at being coordinators than being a HC, I would take Smith over those other guys they have interviewed so far.

Yep, those Falcons fans are giddy that Blank fired a failed head coach and then turned around and hired a failed head coach.

I kinda liked that Smith was ready to kick Dennis Allen’s butt in that last game where Jameis Winston went rogue and piled on another TD when the game was out of hand, lol. Shows he has some fire and the Steelers could use somebody like that after catatonic Canada and cool as a cucumber Tomlin.

OC from st. Thomas u. Also qb coach. Kidding, though he's been doing it for ten years with great results.

    I meant Ben johnson.

I am, I suppose, in the minority, in that I am open to college OCs/HCs that turned around mediocre offenses and made them good. I don't want coattails OC that took a great offense and managed to kind of maintain it. Many times, given another two years, the offense suddenly looks bad because they were just working with well coached upperclassmen left by the actual good OC.

Rambling aside, I don't think we're limited to the few retread NFL failures left. If anything these should be avoided, if at all possible.

I would be very happy with Kubiak hiring, but i really think another team will snatch him up or the SF OC and Shanahan will promote Kubiak.

I assume Kubiak won’t interview because he needs to prep for the SB and not that he cannot interview with us. Read somewhere that both he and Griese interviewed with the Saints for their OC position

Yeah I keep reading conflicting things on the rules about interviewing. I just saw that Kubiak interviewed with the Patriots today so I guess it’s fair game.

I think Carpenter doesn't have to ability to get the offense hungry enough or feed the players that are hungry.
    That's the skinny i've seen.

Absolutely I'm ignoring his Tennessee yrs...
He had Derrick Henry at the height of his powers.... what's so hard about run right, run left, run up the middle... play action when the whole defense is keying on Henry and find an open AJ Brown downfield... Matt Canada couldn't mess that one up.....
Granted, Atlanta's qb situation actually makes me feel good about ours, but Pitts and London aren't used anywhere near enough, and they're not whiny children about it like DJ and Pickens

I’m pretty sure that rule changed. If what I read is accurate once the divisional round is over teams are free to request permission to speak to whomever. Whether or not permission is granted is an entirely different story.

Pitts was injured. Pitts was in the pro bowl his first year. London had more targets and receptions (yet Pickens did better with less).

Your just talking non sense of your hate towards Pickens and dj. As well not understanding Smith did use Pitts and London.
