I have watched Pickett to know that he's reached his ceiling. His one game against Cincinnati is shown by his supporters to claim, it was Canada, but not Pickett. He only scored 16 points, and Mitch Trubisky actually played worse without Canada. It's not OC, but Pickett. He doesn't do anything well, and is sort of a dummy based on his low Wonderlic score. Give Canada Tom Brady and he will seem like Belichek. Mason is a better QB than Pickett or Trubisky will ever be. I saw some Blast Furnace's post prior to Mason starting this season, and he was totally dismissive, mocking people who hinted perhaps Steelers could win with Mason. Now that he's been proven wrong, he's having a hard time accepting that putting caveat's to Mason's performance.

Pickett and Rudolph did not play under the same circumstances. Pickett played one full game after they got rid of Canada and immediately improved dramatically. Faulkner and Sullivan had more time to figure out what would work by the time Rudolph took over.

Rudolph also got to face the easiest stretch of opposing defenses all season. The Bengals were a disaster, even worse than the first time the Steelers played them due to injury. The Seahawks started out solid defensively, but fell apart way before the Steelers ran all over them. The Ravens sat arguably their three best defenders the entire game. They pulled Queen for a while, too, but put him back in when they had injuries at ILB. Also, given that they didn't need the game, it is almost certain that they played a lot more basic defense than normal so they wouldn't put anything on film. Remember, one of the things that made the Ravens tough is the way they disguise their defenses. Rudolph was facing a shell of the normal Baltimore defense, with the primary issue he faced being the weather.

The Bills, despite their injuries, were the first good defense he faced and it showed in his worst performance of the season, including a disastrous interception.

that’s a bit of hyperbole. The Seahawks were actually ranked higher than us in pass defense. They hadn’t “fallen apart” and were actually fighting for a playoff spot. Mason did not have a bad game against the bills as you’re inferring. Aside from that one interception he played well.

I’d like you to be adult and talk football, leave your childish insults at home but you haven’t been able to do that. You just come here and stomp your feet whenever someone says something you don’t like about Rudolph. Seriously, how old are you? Team game, you’re acting like Rudolph either threw or ran for all the TDs himself.

The film has been posted from Kennys game, 3 times now, lol, he was doing all the things Rudolph was doing. He wasn’t perfect by any means, his flaws still showed up but that was ONE game without Canada.

At no time have I acted like Rudolph did it alone. But the offense ran much more efficiently with him as the field general.
