They are more likely to be a 5 win team that be in the AFC title game against QB like Mahomes,Allen,Burrow,etc in the AFC...

 

Overall.
Mr Rooney has stressed that QB play must be better. I think he is more eluding to the OC as Matt Canada was a failure and did not get the most of anything.
New OC's job is to get the offense scoring. Mike will pick OC.
He feels like the rookie class produced well and is something to be built upon. I tend to agree with that but a good follow-up draft will help a lot.
Tomlins contract probably will happen sooner than the OC hire? Not sure what is going on there.

Again, he stresses he feels impatience with what is going on. His demeanor seems to telegraph that as well.

Reflected on those last 7 games, 3-game losing streak was very difficult. The 3-game win showed the team's character. Playoff loss is disappointing.
He again stressed the OC and what is expected of them. I would add, he does have a good RB tandem, some pieces of the OL in place, WR's. A good OC will figure out how to make them work together.

Of course, someone asked about contracts which Mr Rooney is never going to comment on that. Re Cam.

In general, I get the vibe he's antsy and expects more while realizing they got 10 wins there's no denying that 1 and done is tough to stomach.

Well the last few hires at the coordinator position (OC and DC) have been horrible. Not super excited to hear that Tomlin still has leash here.

 

But he had tannehill throwing for 30 touchdowns

 

Pickett will be 26 by the time the season rolls around. What if Pickett has already peaked?

 

I am not in agreement with Art 2 Leaving the hiring the OC to MT. I believe Omar and Weidl and
Art 2 need to be in on the hiring of this key, key hire. This hire is tantamount!

 

Rooney in not so many words have lit the torch under Tomlin's seat.
We will see when those flames break through

 

Omar will help do legwork on prospects

Tomlin will make the hiring decision

Omar will work out the contract

Art 2 will ok the contract
