You assumed that I never played sports before just because I think the NFL is rigged, I was just giving you a dose of your own medicine. It's irrelevant if we were both good at sports anyway, it doesn't change the fact that the NFL is rigged

No You assumed I assumed You didn't play....I just asked a question. If You played like You said....You should dang well know that You couldn't script out a game. Hell you are lucky to script out 7 plays a dang game. Yet You think they can script a whole dang game in a week???
You never did answer why they would even bother with that, and letting hundreds of players know a secret they want to keep..when there would be no reason to do it .... all You need is one ref if You want a certain outcome in a game.

I thought that the deep pass off of the defender’s face mask was especially well scripted. Bravo 49ers and Lions!

I didn't assume anything. I meant that you should stick to playing your guitar instead of trying make some lame argument about why you think that the NFL isn't rigged

You can joke about it all you want. I wouldn't even have the time to point out all the obvious fake plays, bad calls, and non calls in both those games

Yes, I’m sure that “critical thinking” is a laborious process.

So it's not the least bit suspicious to you that the Ravens who had the #1 rushing offense decides to go all pass against the #28 rushing defense? And you question my critical thinking skills? Lol

Your script showed the ravens in the super bowl not the chiefs

That wasn't my script. I realized that would be too obvious according to the colors of the SB logo, so I predicted 2nd most obvious "Swifter Bowl" last Wednesday

I’m not sure why I’m engaging, because I think the most obvious explanation here is that you’re trolling, and some of us are responding to it. But, to answer your question, no it wasn’t suspicious. It’s not what I would have done, but I get it. Why?

    1. The Ravens were well balanced early in the game up until their last drive of the 1st half which started with 2:47 remaining in the half. You’re not going to be balanced when you’re trying to score in the final 2 minutes of a half.
    2. Up until that point they were pretty balanced, and twice faced 2nd & 9 after failed 1st down runs, which makes 2nd down a passing situation.
    3. They had one 15 yard run by Edwards immediately preceding the TD. Other than that, Ravens not named Lamar Jackson rushed 7 times for 12 yards (it really wasn’t working).
    4. Their 1st possession of the 3rd quarter they went run, run, pass, punt.
    5. Once they got the ball back again, there were 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and they were down 10, and that’s when they actually abandoned the run game.

I personally wouldn’t have abandoned the run at that point, but I get their decision. They have a QB who they (and the media) think is all-world, and they put the ball in his hands and said “win the game for us Lamar.” Bad decision IMO (because I think Lamar is a runner, not a good passer), but up until that point they had very limited success with the non-Lamar scramble run game.

You of all people should be questioning anyone else's intelligence, lol. At least the other guys on here are somewhat creative and witty in expressing their distain for my stance on the NFL, with you it's just ad hominem attacks. You're really beginning to bore me

There was no ad hominem attack. You’re either a true believer which demonstrates lacking anything resembling logic, critical thinking, and intelligence or a troll. I’ve asked numerous times for you to back up your claims and you just double down or back pedal.

Fair enough, at least you have a somewhat logical explanation. What about Dan Campbell going for it on 4th down instead of just kicking the 3?

Anyway, maybe I should just start my own "Is the NFL rigged"? thread to discuss this topic, instead of just hijacking other peoples threads. That I apologize for

He was a riverboat gambler. Even my wife was yelling at him to take the (3) both times. I’ve read somewhere that the “analytics” - i.e. probabilities - favored going for it. I say screw the analytics in situations like those. Too much downside. Analytics can’t account for momentum and the effect it has on how guys perform in their 1:1 matchups. We’ll never know whether it cost them a Super Bowl appearance, but I think it did.

I think the term "analytics" can easily just be a guise to give coaches a pass on having their part in the rigging of these games.

Anyway, I'm not going say anything more on this particular topic until I start my own thread, but I'll wait until after the Super Bowl. Then you guys can fire away! :lolol:

That's Dan Campbell MO. It's a bunch of the so called analytics type coach's way...which is IMO ridiculous. Unless You are down by over 20 points in the last quarter....take the easy 3. Hell KC did the same thing....they could have been up by more if they just took the 3 instead of going for it.
