I'm lost on why he got him. They already had a really good rookie RB.

Also getting him, keeps staring as OC for years, because he knows he doesn't need to be a HC.

Smith and Munch works for me. I know Atlanta had issues but I believe he'd be a really good OC here.

He's worked with about 5 former Steelers coaches in his career. I'd be shocked if they didnt hire him.

He’s also somebody that would stick around longer than some if he has success. He’s not the hot commodity anymore so he probably wouldn’t be a highly sought after head coaching candidate, at least for awhile.

That's a good point as well. The offense does need consistency.

I have a problem with a coach that can't fully utilize Kyle Pitts and Drake London

Detroit loss really screwed us, can’t talk to Kubiak until after the SB now.

You got that right. Dorsey was run out of town in Buffalo after the Bills stumbled to a 6-6 start. After he was canned they went 6-1.

I’m not impressed with what he did in Atlanta as a HC but that doesn’t mean he can’t still be a good OC. Plus he has head coach experience and has been around a bit which might allow him to run his offense and not Tomlins leather helmet version of offense.

Very fair analysis. I'm not exactly a fan of his, but I do see where you're coming from.

I know Arthur Smith has the Munch connection, it would be crazy if one of the coaches he was able to bring here with him was Mike Munchak.

I thought he’s already interviewed somewhere (it’s widely reported that he met with the Saints). With 2 weeks before the SB I would think that they could find a time slot that works.

That “throw it off the defender’s facemask” play was pure genius.

Yep that instance happens quite a bit where as a HC it doesn't work put but they are great as a coordinator kinda like norv turner.

You just going to ignore the two years in Tennessee? Ignore Pitts multiple injuries in. 2022 (including a mcl). Ignoring Pitts making the pro bowl in 2021?

London is good. But Pickens is better. London had more targets and more receptions, yet Pickens crushed him in everything else, while doing it with less receptions and targets. ....... so, yes, Smith did use London.

    So Smith did utilize them.

    1. He was great for Tennessee for his two years as OC.
    2. The offense was good in Atlanta. Pitts made the pro bowl his first year, then had multiple injuries. Look. At what he did with 3 RBs. In 21 and 22 he took Patterson and Algiers to making them great. His problem was in 23 trying to pass the ball around to those two and Robinson....... the thing was bad for them, is having QB's who were garbage with interceptions and fumbles.
    3. Just because someone is horrible as HC doesn't mean they're horrible at previous positions. Atlanta has done that recently with Dan Quinn. Dan looked horrible as HC. But DC before and after Atlanta, dude is an amazing coach.
